Telma Ramirez a month agoCame here to try something new. I heard so much about this place that it was the hyped that brought us in… first off Yayda was excellent since we walked in, his carisma and positive energy was infectious . He recommended little brother which is very refreshing and minty we also tried the eagle powers which is an inviting blend of mezcal honey and lemon. We followed with some oysters that’s tasted as if they were caught right in-front of us. We followed with our main entrees which was the shrimp scampi a neutral blend of butter and Parmesan cheese paired with linguine pasta tasteful shrimp. We also tried thee Niman Ranch Pork Chop the purée which was paired with a creamy artichoke took the flavor of the pork chop to the next level. His hospitality was impeccable. Ps must try the cheesecake!
Naomi Takara 6 months agoEverything about this place is magical. The manager, Manny, treated us really well, and the other servers were so lovely. The food was amazing. My friend got the tatar and I got the pork chop, both fresh and with lots of flavor. Apparently it was Manny's birthday but he was working today, bless his heart. He knew his menu top to bottom and was quite accommodating. Servers were attentive and helpful. They even did a little something for our birthdays since it was late in the night, which was super sweet. This place feels so comfortable, even with the surreal rainforest vibes. Will def want to come back because of how much the staff feels like they care about this place.
Minh Thai 8 months agoHave dinner here on Friday with my wife. The restaurant is at the bottom floor of the Anaheim Packing District. Very difficult to find parking. We used valet, it's $9. The restaurant is very cozy, kind of rain forest theme, and it's warm and very welcoming atmosphere. Food is outstanding. Very different. You can see the chef has a very creative mind and style. Portions are small but just enough. My wife had the swordfish and I had the chorizo and claim. We added an order of bread ( parker rolls) and it was enough food. Oh, I forgot we had the butter cake for dessert and it was very delicious . Their drinks are phenomenal also. This is a highly recommended place. Just valet your car and have a good time
Dave L 3 months agoFrom the outside, the restaurant/bar seems like a great addition to the packing house. The host at the door/window was gracious and inviting, so I decided to check it out. The decor, is unique and moody, with an upscale, French Polynesian vibes. It would seem like a great spot for a date night, but once you're inside, the music is so loud that it's impossible to have conversation. I went with one of my loudest friends and I could barely hear him. Although the restaurant was empty and full of staff, the service was incredibly slow. No refills on water and no followup on additional drink or food orders after. Even the bill took 15 minutes to come. They should call this place "The Wooden Face" since the service is so sullen and lifeless. All this could be forgiven but the food wasn't good either. I had 2 shrimp dishes, both overpriced and underwhelming. Although their shrimp are a good size (U10s) they are incredibly bland and watery. This place also has the worst cocktail sauce I've ever tasted. It's sad when a place that has so much potential is wasted because of poor management and prioritizing image over substance.
Danny Pham 3 months agoDrinks: Post(Water)Malone: The Matcha foam was an interesting touch, My favorite drink of the night. Pain Face Killah: Wanted to try their clarified version but it was good but not as good as blind rabbits. Food: Crab Cakes: It was really good. Aguachile Prawns: SO Delicious, great flavor - Must try 10oz Skirt Steak - Steak was grilled nicely and had great flavor. They have such a good drink menu, I'd come back just for drinks. Ambiance is nice and I like the theme.
