The hostess was friendly and able to handle a full waiting room of customers. We were seated pretty quickly even though we were a party of 6. Our server, Ava L, was quick to get our drink orders. She seemed genuinely happy to be our server. She didn't rush us to order and helped us with a smile. The food was good. But the service is what really made Gladstones shine. Thanks Ava L!

Had a long flight to Long Beach and we picked the closest place to our hotel. We came from the very cold Midwest and saw Gladstones had a patio and it was sunny. When we walked in there weren't many people there, maybe one or two tables. It took about 5 minutes for anyone to acknowledge we were there. We were finally seated in the sunshine on the patio so we were happy. Took another 5 minutes or so for a waiter to show up and take our drink orders. Ordered Old Fashioneds and had to wait for 10 more minutes to get them so this wasn't starting off well. Waiter finally came back and took our order. Food came out about 15 minutes later which was ok with us we had just started our 12 day vacation. He did bring out some bread that didn't look very appealing but it ended up being very good. Next came the coconut shrimp, jerk wings and the cod/fries. Jerk wings were very good with a lot of flavor. Coconut shrimp were ok but nothing special about them or the sauce, about what you would buy at the grocery store and put in your deep fryer. The cod was very good, fries were average (may have been beater if they had been hot). All in all the patio seating was great and 50/50 on the food. OFs tasted like a straight shot of bourbon so our personal bartender (hubby) doctored them up to our liking. What we ordered vs the price we paid was very high. This was one of the highest bills we had our entire trip ($150.00) and I did double check everything because I was shocked. Wait staff could have been a little more attentive and pleasant. Our waiter never came back to give us the bill, we had to ask someone else to bring it to us. I would never stiff a server on their tip because I understand how hard they work but this was a close call. We did have a great view and enjoyed tge sunshine.

The food was fresh and delicious. Lunch for 4 was $135 (not including gratuity). Our server left alot to be desired. Asked twice for napkins and silverwear. (once to our server and once to another server nearby) I asked a staff member Kevin and he immediately brought silverwear and tartar sauce (included with Fish and Chips) that was not on the plate. The guest waited 25 minutes for the tartar sauce and by then the meal was cold. Server was nowhere to be found. I went to the counter and asked another staff for assistance for the check and gave him my card. Our server then appeared and took over🤷🏻‍♀️. The food was delicious, great views and Gracias Kevin. 5⭐️ for you.

Beautiful view! Was such a special time! Amazing food, I got the fish tacos and they were incredible 😭 our server Jesse was great, very attentive and we had zero issues with our orders. He was so friendly and fun and really made our night. Made sure we were warm, turned our heaters on before we even asked, made sure we were well hydrated and checked in often and really took care of us! We had an amazing time. Can’t wait to come back.

Great experience here with friendly staff and beautiful view. Sat on the patio and enjoyed the breeze and a cocktail. The calamari was delicious and the fish and chips were outstanding as well. All in all a nice little meal at am inviting spot. Highly recommend it if you are looking for a spot in Long Beach.
