Aaron Wilson a month agoThe food and service here was truly exceptional. The service was incredible and we felt truly well taken care of. The waiter noticed that my wife was left handed and placed every utensil on her dominant side. I got up to use the restroom and my napkin was neatly folded when I came back. We forgot our leftovers and the waiter immediately brought them over to us before we left. You can’t replicate or replace this level of service. The food was incredible and we had an empty plate after every dish. My wife had the carrot soup and the filet mignon. She ate every drop of both. I had the lobster risotto and the Beef Wellington. Both were absolutely delicious. They even brought out our dessert with a candle and congratulations chocolate for our anniversary. The level of service and food was immaculate and rivals fine dining without the arrogance or stuffiness. The restaurant does add a 20% service fee so keep that in mind. The service was so good I decided to leave an extra tip as well. Our reservation was at 6:15 pm and the restaurant wasn’t too busy at that time but it quickly filled up to full capacity.
Marc a month agoWe love hell's kitchen show and this restaurant was on our bucket list. Hands down the best dish was the scallops appetizer. Unfortunately it's a very small portion.. I guess Florida scallops are very small? The welly was underwhelming.. I wanted to love it but didn't work for me. The tuna tartar was good but I've had better. Service was excellent! 3 course meal for 3 people with wine pairing going to run you $250 per person. For that money, just validate the vallet parking, which is another $30. Anyway we enjoyed ourselves immensely. Dessert? We tried 3 different desserts and the strawberry 🍓 dessert with the merengue was our favorite but the sticky toffee pudding was a close 2nd.
Jack Smith III 5 months agoWe loved the experience and trust me, the experience is what you're paying for. The beef Wellington had good flavor BUT the mashed potatoe yes singular because there may be ½ of a potatoes worth on the plate. The Mac and Cheese was amazing. The Brussel Sprouts were really good (I typically will not eat this food). The braised scallops were also very good. The service was great, now I will say we were seated next to a group of 3 individuals from the corporate offices in NY that were there inspecting this particular HK so it may have had a little to do with why the service was so good.
Jay Shen 3 months agoWe (my partner and I) came here with high expectations since it's a Gordon Ramsay establishment, and ended up deciding that it wasn't worth the price or the hype, unfortunately, mainly because many of the dishes tasted mediocre. While I still thought that most food still tasted better than that in many restaurants I have been to, it was not as good as the food in many restaurants that had similar price ranges as this one. The best dishes in our opinion were the lobster risotto and the crispy salmon, both having good flavor from the lobster and the salmon themselves, and the green curry next to the salmon offering a distinct combination since the flavor profiles contrast was huge. The curry itself tasted pretty standard. The risotto had enough buttery taste and I could taste the truffle in it as well. After that, the crab roll had a good amount of mashed avocado which wasn't common but it worked pretty well. The beef wellington was way too salty, mainly because of the red wine demi-glace and the mushroom mixture in the wellington itself, and the amount of root vegetables was so tiny. The steak sandwich was very filling and had an abundant amount but the steak meat didn't even taste seasoned, and the mustard dominated the flavor way too much to the point that it made the sandwich lose its unique taste. The sticky toffee pudding was so dry and plain inside that tasting the mixture itself without trying it with the ice cream or the caramel just didn't work. My partner and I would've both wanted it to be a bit crispier which would create a good textural contrast. Overall we had concluded that for the amount of money we had spent, we wouldn't recommend this establishment or return, but I was still grateful that I finally had the chance to try the famous Beef Wellington finally. The steak inside did taste good, and I can cross this off my bucket list.
Erica D 4 months agoI had high expectations going in and wow I was not disappointed. The atmosphere is inviting, modern but cozy and staff are very welcoming. I had the fixed menu with the scallops which were probably the highlight of the whole dinner. There’s a reason everyone orders them…they’re phenomenal. Then came the beef Wellington which was also cooked to perfection and the puree was also great. The sticky toffee pudding I would highly recommend because it’s not too filling but highly flavorful to top off the dinner. Also had the hell yeah cocktail that had a Smokey unique flavor. My husband loved his prime rib and Mac and cheese. It was a very memorable experience. Definitely worth it and would go back for sure if I’m near a HK again.
