Marty Premer a month agoWe ended up at Rocca for my son’s college graduation dinner. He picked this over Burns so we were excited to try it. Service was outstanding and the food was truly an experience—from the homemade mozzarella cheese tableside to the grilled pineapple with prosciutto, it was a culinary adventure. The service was great and everybody is available to answer questions or tell you the best order to eat things to het the most taste. We tried almost every single thing almost on the menu. They also have a carbonara that is amazing and it’s off the menu. However, I will warn you that it is a traditional Roman carbonara, not the creamy heavy carbonara that you are used to seeing in other Italian restaurants. I found it delicious but he said a lot of people really prefer the creamy one. So if you’re feeling adventurous, give it a try. The Caprese salad was made with tomatoes that were literally like candy they were so sweet. The pineapple was the sweetest I’ve ever tasted so the quality of the food will blow you away. I loved the Key lime pie for dessert. I loved my Branzino fish, even though I did not care for the eyeball looking at me lol. Most of the meals are served family style. However, if you have big eaters like my husband, he did not feel the pasta dishes had enough in there to share with several people. That’s the only thing I would say is that the pasta dishes really didn’t have a lot on those plates so if you’re splitting it, just make sure you’re eating lighter. The desserts were amazing and I appreciated that they had a healthy mocktail menu with beautiful options. Mine was a thyme spritzer and it was downright delicious. This is not an inexpensive place, but it wasn’t ridiculously expensive either. I think this is definitely a special occasion restaurant. It was louder than I expected, and my husband thought that was a little annoying, but other than that it was a great experience. By the way, if you have a big crowd, you may want to ask for the round table. We love that so much because we could see each other pass plates around easily rather than going down a long table. Hope you get to visit and enjoy this Michelin star restaurant right here at Armature Works. Ps-just for your reference they have an extremely popular duck dish that the waiter said if you’re interested in it, you really need to reserve it ahead of time. It was not available when we went so even though I’m not a duck person, the fact that people reserve it ahead of time means it must be incredible. If you like duck or you just wanna try a Michelin star duck, I highly recommend reserving it ahead of time.
Swan City Tours a month agoI was incredibly excited for my first visit to Rocca, but unfortunately, it did not live up to the Michelin hype. The biggest disappointment was the service. We explicitly told our server it was our first time, but she didn't offer to explain the menu or mention any specials. Meanwhile, we watched her give a detailed, thorough walkthrough to the larger party right next to us. It felt like because we weren't ordering as much, she decided we weren't worth her time. Excellent hospitality should be standard for every table, not just the high spenders. As for the food, it was just okay. The house-made pasta was borderline undercooked rather than a true al dente. We skipped the tableside mozzarella cart as it felt a bit gimmicky, and the rest of the meal didn't do much to make up for the lackluster start. Maybe standards have slipped since they received their star, but for the price and expectation, the consistency and basic hospitality just weren't there. Maybe it was an off night, and I may try again in the future, but there are other places I'd rather go first.
Anthony Schena 2 months agoRocca ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Rocca is absolutely deserving of its Michelin star! The vibe inside is open, clean, and incredibly comfortable—the perfect setting for an amazing meal. I wish I could remember our server's name because he was phenomenal; friendly, knowledgeable, and he truly elevated the entire evening. The tableside mozzarella experience is an absolute must. Not only is it a fun and interactive distraction during the meal, but the flavor of the fresh mozzarella paired with tomatoes and a touch of salt was easily a highlight of our night. We also loved the chicken liver and foie gras pâté, which was incredibly rich and delicious. When we asked to swap out the standard bread it came with, the staff happily brought us an amazing fresh focaccia that hit the spot perfectly. For the main highlights, you have to try the pork arrosticini and the homemade truffle pasta. The pasta had an incredibly rich, earthy flavor with freshly grated truffle right on top, and you could immediately tell the noodles were made from scratch. We finished the night with the pistachio gelato—the combination of honey and pistachio nuts was out of this world. Highly recommend Rocca for a phenomenal and unpretentious fine-dining experience!
Soja Yordi a month agoAbsolutely phenomenal experience from having the best waiter - Daniel - to having the chef come out and present the Mediterranean fish. Food was a journey of flavors that just kept getting better. And our waiter spoiled us with little surprises for my husbands bday and was so nice and patient. Thank you for the amazing hospitality! Highly recommend for any occasion.
Shari Banal 4 months agoThis place was lovely! The best service I’ve had yet, and our server Elijah did a wonderful job! The appetizers and entrees were delightful and portion sizes were just right. The desserts we ordered were delicious too and they gave us cheese and white chocolate samples to try. I definitely appreciate the thought behind the dishes representing Italian cuisine but putting a new spin and reconstructing it in a way that makes it a new experience for someone.
