Jackie Pennington a month agoWe had a fabulous time at Mambo’s. We had a girls weekend in New Orleans and our last dinner was here. We all ordered different food and shared everything. Both the fried and blackened gator was flavorful and tender. The BBQ shrimp was super and our waitress brought us extra rolls to soak up the awesome BBQ liquor - soooo good. We also had Mambo’s grilled oysters that were so tender and yummy, red beans and rice, crab cake pasta. Everything was just fantastic. I can’t forget the cocktails, and bread pudding were also so very good and the sauce on the bread pudding just made you feel all warm and cozy. The serving sizes were good and prices reasonable, but I can’t give a fair per person $$ because we ordered a lot of different items just to try more. Our host sat us by the front in the window so people watching while we were eating was a dinner and a show! And last but certainly not least was our fabulous server Breanna (Bree). She was friendly, attentive, and made sure our experience was perfect!! Thank you Bree for helping us end our visit on a high note. Highly recommend Mambo’s and if Bree is taking care of you, than that is an absolute bonus!!
Elegantly Figured Barbie a month agoThe food was great and everything had flavor the mustard greens and red beans were packed with flavor. However, after adding a dash of hot sauce it helped offset the salty taste and added an extra punch! The Mambo's oysters were amazing! The crab cakes were my favorite and the best crab cakes I've ever had in my life and I'm from Louisiana! Our server was so sweet and kind. However, she never refilled our water. That's the only reason we gave 4 stars for service. Overall a great restaurant and I would definitely return!
Cha E a month agoI came here on the search for a good oyster Rockefeller. My intended restaurant had a line but here sufficed. We came towards closing. Our server: Shawn was very pleasant & patience. The food was decent. The spinish dip was good. The Rockefeller was okay, the shell was charred to where it gave that burnt taste. So, mainly the first one was good. The pastas were okay. The crab cake was good but that mushroom cream sauce was delicious! I wish I had ordered some to take back home.
Aaliyah Mosquera a month agoFound this gem after some research on google and tiktok :) genuinely a 10/10 . Our server Will was great! He was very helpful, attentive, and nice. we had the chicken & andouille gumbo, blackened red fish special, and carnival pasta. i had the bay breeze which was so good that i had two! loved it and will definitely be coming back !
C Michael a month agoAbsolutely PHENOMENAL food. We went for lunch 5/11/26 And dined on the ONLY rooftop restaurant/bar on Bourbon St. and the food was insanely good, better than we ever imagined. We were visiting and wanted to try and assortment of dishes and it was all delightful. We also tried some similar stuff the day before and this absolutely took the cake. Would come back in a heartbeat!! Get the NOLA trio, shrimp poboy, and OF COURSE MaMbos charbroiled Oysters!! The raw half shell were soooo good too, and sooo huge!! Rochelle our favorite waitress was very attentive and great to take care of us as well!!!
