george maltese a month agoI have eaten here numerous times over the years. The food has only gotten better. I went for lunch, my server Tina made some great recommendations, Tina made me feel like family. I had the Gumbo YaYa which is a more Cajun style gumbo, chicken and susage. The portion was very lard the taste was delicious. I had the Shrimp and Grits . Portion was very large, the shrimp fresh tasting. In fact this New Orleans BBQ over grits, nothing like what you will get in Savannah or Chareston . The atmosphere was relaxed with great easy listening jazz. Staff was very hard working. This was really a great experience .
Chelsea Martinez a month agoWe were a large group and it was easy to set up a dinner reservation and our table was ready when we arrived. Our server was hilarious and made quite and effort to take care of our table. Some pros from the food/drinks- drinks are heavy pours (we weren't complaining), firecracker shrimp was delicious and the pecan crusted red fish is incredible, the side too. Cons- this is on me, we were told the specials and I asked about items to order with my pork allergy. I was recommended the seafood gumbo and the red fish special which came with crawfish, shrimp and crab. I went ahead with the recommendations, the gumbo was overcooked, seafood was really chewy, the fish had a little sprinkle of crawfish, shrimp and crab but they upcharged $15 for the crawfish and crab and another $10 for the shrimp. So an already $32 dish added on $40 for a sad amount of "toppings". So lesson learned, ask about pricing, because it was not worth it being an over $70 dish.
Paul P 2 months ago05/07/26- Wonderful lunch today with a quality meal. Nice variety of dishes and cocktails, pleasant wait staff. Real flavorful Creole style food such as the Redfish and jambalaya. We even gave the gator a go, Tasty! Super nice restaurant! We shall be back.
T. G. 2 months agoUpon a recommendation of a local, had some delicious creole food. Sat in the bar area instead of the restaurant, which in hindsight was probably not a smart choice as far as ambiance is concerned because the bartender was playing Bollywood Music, which kind of ruined the mood. Having said that, the crab cakes, red beans and rice, jambalaya and shrimp creole were probably some of the best dishes I have had NOLA, and that says a lot, because there is a lot of good food in this city. The deserts were a banana foster bread pudding and a flower less chocolate cake, which were very good as well with the banana foster spin on the bread pudding definitely winning out.
Ankita Aparajita 3 months agoQuick delicious pitstop was worth it! Very quick service, convenient location, very nice service folks especially Praveen Raj was very engaging and conversational, gave us great local tips! They did have smaller and larger portions of hot delicious food which worked for us! Hubby was stoked to find okra in gumbo, thats the authentic recipe! Perfect ambience indoors & outdoors, even the fries were. Perfect!!!!
