Elizabeth Anderson a month agoAba is the more nearly version of Ema. The dishes and service were exquisite. Came here twice in one week and I don’t regret it at all. The brisket hummus had more meat than hummus. It was amazing, so savory and wonderful. The labneh is sweeter, but a great starter. So fresh and fun. The pork belly was savory and smoky with little beets and a tangy syrup. I loved it and my daughter loved it as well.
Naomi • Intentionally Crafted 2 months agoAba Austin made for such a great date night. We got on the list for the main restaurant but after visiting the outdoor bar, directly across the walkway, we decided to post up there. Reason, my wife and I weren’t exactly met with warmth by the three hostesses, but we were eager to try the restaurant and discovered that adjacent to it, the same establishment has an outdoor bar, beautifully decked out in plants and romantic lighting. The drinks were creative and delicious, and every small plate we tried was packed with flavor. The Mediterranean-inspired menu felt fresh, vibrant, and perfect for sharing. The atmosphere was warm, stylish, and relaxed without feeling too formal. Definitely one of those places where you want to slow down, enjoy the conversation, and try a little bit of everything. The bartender was inclusive, friendly and informative, and we honestly felt a little more welcome on that side of the restaurant. Looking forward to coming back again.
Christina Ji a month agoVisiting from SF and came here for a friend's birthday lunch!! We were lucky and got seated immediately outside, which was shaded and still very comfortable, even on a hot day. This place was SPECTACULAR; I'm always a little skeptical of places with a lot of hype, but Aba truly delivered on every expectation. We ordered the whipped feta, brussel sprouts, heirloom chicken thighs, and the pistachio crusted halibut. They were all so delicious!!!! Zero misses. Every dish was bursting with flavor and thoughtfully put together. We reached literal flow state as we alternated taking bites from each dish. I'm very taken by the whipped feta; super fluffy and came with very well seasoned pita bread!! Major shoutout to our amazing waiter, David, for being an absolute joy and so incredibly kind to us. He was super helpful and attentive!!! For my friend's birthday, we chose a date cake to take to go (which tasted DIVINE), and we nearly left without it -- but David ran after us to make sure we didn't forget it 🥹💖 #RaiseForDavid #BonusForDavid
defne colasan 4 weeks agoAba has a great ambience with inside and outside sitting options. We sat outside on the big patio. Tried whipped feta with pistachios and humammara from appetizers. Wipped feta with warm pita bread was absolutely delicious. Muhammara was tasty but too spicy for me. From mains we tried short rib shakshuka, chicken kebab and kofte kebab. Shakshuka was a generous portion and tasty but too much for me I couldn’t finish. I think the potatoes were too much in this dish and taste wise it is far from shakshuka it is a totally different dish other than egg on top. Kebabs were also tasty but meet could have been juicier. Overall I think the best part is the abmience and the appetizers.
Amber Lipscomb 3 weeks agoGo for the outdoor seating, it’s shaded. It’s a great atmosphere. Superb drinks and food! Highly recommend the Short Rib Hummus! My server paid great attention to my food allergy and was able to suggest alternatives. It’s shareable serving sizes. Can’t wait to visit again!!
