Polina Golikova 4 months agoSuch a beautiful restaurant with delicious Italian foods. It was a little tricky to find but it’s on the ground floor of the hotel, with underground free hotel parking. You can tell each dish was really though out and everyone is made from scratch. Dishes aren’t too crazy but substantial enough to be full. I tried new things I haven’t before and I loved everything I had. This is my new nice date spot for Italian food. The unexpected star was the drinks. The wine and whiskey sours we had were superb, definitely one of the best I’ve ever had.
Duane Charping 3 months agoPoeta absolutely exceeded every expectation. From the moment we walked in, the level of service was easily some of the best I’ve experienced in Austin. Our waiter was incredible, attentive without being overbearing, knowledgeable about every detail on the menu, and genuinely made the entire experience feel special. The food matched the service perfectly. The spaghetti carbonara was phenomena!!! Rich, perfectly balanced, and easily one of the best I’ve ever had. And the cheesecake? Unreal. Smooth, flavorful, and the perfect way to end the meal. I cant mention enough on how great the entire staff was. Every single person we interacted with was welcoming, professional, and clearly cared about delivering a top tier experience. Poeta is everything you’d expect from a Michelin star level restaurant and more. Can’t wait to come back.
Julia Kellogg 3 months agoI visited Poeta for a solo birthday dinner, and I can honestly say it was one of the most special dining experiences I've ever had. From the moment I walked in, the entire team made me feel incredibly celebrated. The ambiance is spot-on, it's sexy and sophisticated without being too dark or overly moody. It's the kind of place that feels high-end yet welcoming the second you step through the door. I started with the Arancini, followed by the Caesar salad, and finished with the Carbonara. Every single dish was outstanding. The flavors were authentic, fresh, and perfectly executed. To top off an already amazing meal, the team gifted me the Budino for my birthday dessert, which was the perfect sweet ending to the night. I have to give a massive shout-out to my server, Ethan. He was fantastic and truly deserves all the accolades, he was attentive, kind, and went above and beyond to make sure my solo celebration felt significant. That hospitality extended to everyone I encountered; from the hostess to the food runners and the person clearing my table, the entire staff made me feel amazing. I felt like the happy tears emoji 🥹 the entire time. I'm already counting down the days until I can come back and share this gem with my friends and family. If you want incredible food and world-class service, go to Poeta!
Marcie Fontecchio 2 months agoSo cool and yet so warm! This restaurant was intimate and welcoming while maintaining a chic vibe. The food was excellent from beginning to end - you could easily just order one or two dishes per person for a solid meal, but I highly recommend sampling a couple things from each section. My personal highlights were the arancini, malfadine, olives, and cheesecake.
Fer 4 months agoAn absolute brunch masterpiece! If you’re looking for the best brunch spot in Austin, Poeta is it. I’m already counting down the days until I can go back! From the second we walked in, the vibes were perfect. The entire staff were incredibly friendly and attentive—they truly make you feel welcome, especially the bartender Kat, crafting the best drinks. And the food? Everything was so delicious! Here’s the breakdown of what blew us away: • The Kolaches: You can tell these are freshly baked. They were pillowy, warm, and easily some of the best I've had. • The Avocado Toast: This is a bold claim, but it’s the best avocado toast I’ve ever had. They do a white bean purée with whole white beans on top that adds such a sophisticated, creamy texture. • The Breakfast Plate: Every bite was a powerhouse of flavor. It’s a classic dish elevated with so many unique notes. • The Hash Browns: Forget everything you know about standard hash browns. These were ultra-crispy with a unique spin that made them addictive. • Waffle with Gelato: We ended with the waffle, which came topped with gelato and a buttery espresso syrup. It was such a unique, yummy combination of flavors that I haven't seen anywhere else. Poeta isn’t just a meal; it’s an experience. Amazing service, creative dishes, and top-tier flavors. See you guys again very soon!
