We took a flyer when we saw the sign to the elevator, because we thought it would be kind of kitschy. The doors opened into a rooftop oasis with lovely plants and music playing, an amazing breeze and stunning views of the city. Margot, our server, was down to earth and really fun. We had delicious mock-tails and Spicy tuna rolls. (where I learned the definition of "spicy" is a wee hotter in Austin). Everything was delicious. Service was excellent.

Located on the seventh floor and accessible by the elevator from the side street. Place is very green with plants - live ones to be exact. Various seating areas that are mostly available to dine and drink. Some bar seating and few bar tables are available on a first come first serve basis. They offer a selection of specialty cocktails - some come in a specialty glass, others are lit to have a flame. Our server was happy and enthusiastic. This is a roof top bar with views of the area.

Felt like we were out in a wild, lush tropical escape. Food was delicious to nibble and vibe out to the sounds and sights around us. Breezy with enough air flow to not feel hot. Would definitely do this again with an all girl group or a one on one with my man!

Zanzibar offers a nice view of downtown Austin. The cozy atmosphere makes the place calm and enjoyable. My wife and I really enjoyed our time there. We had a bottle of wine, shrimp skewers, and jerk chicken wings, and everything was great. Our waitress did an excellent job—she checked on us often to make sure we were okay. Loved it! Sorry I forgot her name. Overall, I highly recommend this place.

This was our first visit to Zanzibar and it exceeded our expectations. Our server Jiani recommended cocktails and appetizers for us and everything he suggested was great! The drinks were refreshing and cute. The ambiance had a great esthetic and decor. It really felt like we were on a tropical vacation. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this spot to everyone. Ask for Jiani!
