The location is unbeatable if you're heading to the Dallas Symphony, super convenient and easy to get to. We were seated in the middle section at a table and with the noise level it made it pretty tough to hold a conversation throughout the meal. We started with the polpette della Nonna (wagyu meatballs) and the u'purp (char-grilled Spanish octopus). The meatballs came alive once we paired them with the truffle ricotta butter from the table side bread, that combination was genuinely good. The octopus, unfortunately, fell flat. It lacked seasoning and just didn't have much going on flavor-wise. For entrees, we tried the branzino, the agnolotti pizzicati, and the scaloppine di wagyu. The branzino was decent but not memorable, it could've used a little more depth, possibly just some salt. The agnolotti pizzicati was the clear winner of the night, the wagyu filling and pasta were delicious and easily the highlight of the meal. The scaloppine di wagyu, however, was over-salted and arrived covered in peas, so we sent it back. Overall, the food felt inconsistent with some hits, some misses, and a few dishes that just needed better seasoning. The convenience to the symphony is a big plus, but the food and noise level have room for improvement.

I went to La Stella Cucina Verace recently and had a pretty nice experience overall. The place feels cozy but still a bit upscale, so it worked well for a relaxed dinner without feeling too casual. The food was solid. I tried one of their pasta dishes, and you can really tell it’s made fresh—the texture was great and the flavors were simple but well-balanced. It didn’t feel overly heavy, which I appreciated. We also shared a pizza, and the crust had that thin, slightly chewy texture that’s hard to get right. Service was good, not overly attentive but we didn’t feel ignored either. There was a bit of a wait during peak hours, so I’d probably recommend going a little earlier if you don’t like crowds. Prices are on the higher side, but not surprising given the location and quality. Overall, it’s a nice spot if you’re in the area and want something Italian that feels a bit more authentic without being too fancy.

We were supposed to leave for Italy tomorrow for a 4 week trip, starting in Sicily and ending in the Dolomites, to celebrate my mom's 75th birthday. Unfortunately, we had to cancel the entire trip last week after receiving her MRI results. La Stella went completely above and beyond to bring a taste of Italy to us, surprising us with some incredibly authentic Italian desserts at the end of our meal, which was totally unexpected! From the valet parking to the entire dining experience, including the food, ambiance, and service, everything was absolutely wonderful.

The food was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was very nice. We had an amazing waitress, very knowledgeable, attentive, and kind. Could not have asked for a better waitress. The greeting we received at the door was disappointing, but other than that, it was exceptional service. I highly recommend.

We went for the first time and had a wonderful experience. Jen our server took great care of us and introduced us to sommelier Richard. Together they made our meal (including my grown up daughter’s birthday) very special. Food was terrific and tailored to our needs and the recommended wines were perfect. We were so satisfied and comfortable that after our meal we stopped at their bar on the way out and had another drink, and they graciously attended to us even though they were about to close. We’ll be back!
