J Earl 3 months ago61 Osteria in downtown Fort Worth is a high end Italian restaurant with something for everyone! Don’t miss out on the focaccia! The Serapente pasta was delicious. The Sexy Italian after dinner sorbet was absolute perfection! Our servers were fantastic; shout-out to Taylor and David. Perfect spot for a celebration or just a date night.
Diana Coltellaro a month agoFood was amazing! From the moment we checked in, the service was amazing! Very attentive, but not overly so. Food simply delicious! Great atmosphere…Maybe just a little loud when it got busier. Definitely won’t keep us from going back! Love it!
Jason Hinrichs 6 months agoOur food was overall very good, in very adequate quantities and was consistent. The food lacked a quality that put it over the edge for what I would expect out of a $100+ experience per person. However, it was very tasty and the service was great. The Caesar salad was underwhelming. The parmigiano was the highlight, but the dressing lacked the acid necessary to balance out the creaminess, and was under salted. 3.7/5. I had the bolognese, which was a combination of brisket, veal, and pork, but the tagliatelle pasta. It was also under salted, but it was substantial and had a savory heartiness that I would expect out of a bolognese. I needed to add parmigiano, red pepper, and salt to get more depth out of the dish. 3.9/5. My fiancee got the four cheese spinach pasta with pesto, and it was the highlight entree. The pine nuts and basil were fresh, and it had a depth of flavor that all of the other dishes did not. It was the only dish not undersalted. 4.3/5. We shared the brussel sprouts, which were great. Typical high end brussel sprouts that have a great balsamic reduction, they balanced sweetness with savory very well. 4.1/5. We shared a dessert, which they sorta got wrong because we ordered extra gelato on the side. We did not mind at all, and they ended up bringing out extra gelato for us because of it. The olive oil cake was good, and the caramel was incredible. It could have been a bit richer in the cake itself, and the salted caramel gelato was not nearly as good as the pistachio gelato, which was the right amount of subtle nuttiness. Olive oil cake 3.8/5. Salted caramel gelato 3.5/5. Pistachio gelato 4.1/5. Service from Chloe was great. She worked hard to upsell us at every turn (that's her job) but it didn't feel like she was suggesting anything we didn't want. She was very attentive. Her service was a 4.8/5. This place is worth coming for two different reasons. 1. Come once to try out on a fancy date. 2. Come after dinner for a double date of drinks and apps. Probably won't be in my regular rotation, but I'll likely be back.
Hector Ortiz 7 months agoOne of the best Italian places I’ve been to in Forth Worth. Great atmosphere, great food and excellent service. We came here for our anniversary celebration, they made sure to congratulate us, and offered complimentary champagne or desert. Tried a couple of their cocktails to start, the “From Italy With Love” is a good blue cheese olive dirty martini, and we tried another one, can’t remember the name but it was sweet, both were great. Ordered a meat and cheese board as appetiser, the meat was a little bit dry, but still good. Cheeses were excellent. Shared a carbonara, you can tell that the pasta is freshly made. Nice thick noodles with a fantastic sauce, pancetta and a poached egg on top. Really enjoyed this dish. The branzino was very tasty, with a good sauce and a salad. Sommelier made a great wine recommendation that matched our taste and the food. For desert we had the tiramisu, it as good. Overall great experience.
Katelyn Joy Moore 8 months agoI had a lovely time here during their Happy Hour! I will say that the happy hour didn’t save me TOO much money and I could’ve gone without it — I don’t really like olives or super salty things, so that part of the deal wasn’t as much of the draw!! The wine was yummy and I really enjoyed my pasta! It was a rolled pasta with a lot of cheese and a bolognese-esque sauce, and it was delicious! However, I felt that the portion size was fairly small for how much I paid. I still loved the flavor, though. The atmosphere was tidy, formal, but still had character in the color use. The walls of windows are really nice to allow a lot of natural light into the space. The service was nice, and the waiters did not make me feel silly for eating alone (I had some cards/letters to write, so I went somewhere that my friends don’t usually want to visit so I could check off a bucket list spot!) Overall, I recommend, but they could be PERFECT if they ensure that food prices are worth the portion-sizes, especially being in a college town where some students are not rich enough to pay so much for a smaller size! I really enjoyed 61 Osteria!!
