We have stayed as a guest at the Drover Hotel and always dine at 97 West. Even when we are staying nearby, we always find ourselves back at this lovely restaurant. They serve the best breakfast in the Stockyards! The servers are so awesome no matter when we dine. Big shoutout to Mandi, Laila, Megan, Kevin and Rachael, all are outstanding, attentive, polite and seem to genuinely love their jobs! The quality of the food and atmosphere brings us back time after time. Highly recommend and look forward to the next time! 10/10!

The french toast was some of the BEST I've had. I would go back for just that alone. We also got the chilaquiles and those were subpar but not nasty. The atmosphere is great service is fantastic! Pricing wasnt too bad.

We decided to have the Christmas Eve brunch this year at the 97 West Kitchen & Bar inside the beautiful and iconic Drover Hotel in downtown Fort Worth, TX. We love eating here and this brunch did not disappoint. I had the lobster omelette and my husband had the Wagyu beef burger with duck egg, and both were delicious. This was a four course meal and Christmas at the Drove is a very special time because the decorations are over the top beautiful.

Pros: Atmosphere (besides the flies; ask for a deterrent). Lost an additional star because the table we sat at had food lodged into the place mats which are like entwined material; seats also were not clean. Service: not bad, not great (no high chair readily available on arrival). Asked for clarification on a “signature cocktail” and they just brought the drink out haha. Food… Crab dip appetizer was decent, the fried tortilla chips were disgusting. Short Rib Grilled cheese was not bad, short rib was pleasant but the bread itself was just sliced pieces lightly toasted and then the short rib and cheese was slapped on top of it. Minimal effort by the kitchen. Their “prime rib” on a Mexican baguette was basically a Philly cheese steak on a roll and the meat was okay… the fat on the meat was not even rendered and it made it unappetizing. Both sandwiches came with fries which were salted to death, we ate them but had to flick salt off of each one individually. Big L. We did not finish more than half of any of the things we ordered. Drinks were decent (2) and total was around $100.00. Don’t waste your time here unless it is out of convenience there is better out there.

We made an afternoon trip to the Stockyards and 97 West did not disappoint. My wife and I realized after being seated that we had walked in 20 mins before they were closing. I am glad they did not treat us like they were trying to close. Our waitress, Meagan, was very attentive and easy to talk to. She made what was already a great meal an excellent meal. I highly recommend asking for her as your server. I had the Lunch Filet Mignon and my wife had the Short Rib Mac N Cheese. Both were excellent.
