Definitely couldn’t come to DFW without having some BBQ, and my friends swear by Terry Blacks. They have a parking lot but it was full when we came on a Saturday evening around 6pm so we parked on the street. You order at the counter first and pay before finding seating. There’s a lot of indoor tables though in certain sections, they may be a bit tight. We were still able to easily grab a table for our group of 5. We opted for the family meal with multiple types of meats and 4 types of sides. My personal favorite was the brisket and the jalapeno cheddar sausage. They have self service napkins, utensils, to-go boxes and a drink dispenser. Someone came by to clean up once we were heading out. The cashier was really nice and they even gave us a little bit extra meat just to try since I mentioned I was visiting from LA.

Overall, if you haven’t been here it’s great to go for the experience at least once! Food and customer service is great! All food is à la carte so the tab can get pricey with everything being priced individually. The brisket was the star for me with the beef rib being my least favorite being a little dry. There is open seat and cafeteria style dining to help thins run smoother. Allie at the bar was amazing and very helpful. Her friendly face and attentive customer service at the front is a gem!

Super great food, walked in with friends our first time there! The walk in from the patio the person at the bar welcomed us in. We get in line and the fist thing is the sides. Its said something like welcome in with a smile chose you sides and etc. My first impression was like dang i said hello to the server and she was like “ hi what can i get you, all monotone and no smile so i said mac and cheese since it looked good. She said, “ size” im like umm okay the small and i continued i also got the potato salad, beans and peach cobbler jalapeños pickles and onions. Then another staff grabbed our sides and moved it over to the main counter where the meats where. He and the cashier changed my outlook and experience. He was very welcoming and heart warming and explained to us the meats they had and how it worked. If you know me I am going to order all and try everything! Below is what i had. I grabbed the Jalapeno Cheddar Sausage, Brisket, Pork Ribs and a Beef Rib! I mean they were all juicy and meaty and not that much fat as some sell you! They have inside sitting and outside patio as well. It was a great atmosphere we just loved it.

Fantastic ambiance! This is what you want when eating BBQ in Texas. Even though you are only minutes from downtown Ft. Worth you somehow feel like you are on a ranch away from all the hustle. Plenty of seating either inside or out with the aroma of perfection permeating both. This crew is dialed in and clearly enjoy their work. Hats off to you all! Special shout out to Dakota and Kandis for all their help getting us the fare everyone in our party desired. Spot on!

Outstanding BBQ experience at Terry Black’s Barbecue in Fort Worth! The service was excellent from start to finish — friendly, attentive, and very professional. The BBQ itself was absolutely phenomenal: perfectly cooked, incredibly juicy, and packed with amazing flavor. You can really tell that there’s a lot of passion and craftsmanship behind the food. A special shout-out to the two staff members preparing and serving the meat. They were extremely kind, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain everything, which made the experience even better. All in all, an outstanding visit. If you’re in Fort Worth and looking for authentic Texas BBQ, Terry Black’s Barbecue is an absolute must. Highly recommended! 🔥🥩
