I had an amazing experience at The Grill! This restaurant has been on my list to try for a while and it did not disappoint. Everything was delicious and my server was very knowledgeable and friendly. Will definitely return!

This is the spot to be! First off- everyone who works here is amazing! I’ve worked in customer service for over 15 years and this place knows how to treat their customers! Phillip is the best- his service was impeccable and his personality made our night! He was friendly and very informative of the menu. We will for sure be back and be asking to sit with him again! The food is amazing- every dish we had was delicious including the dessert! Highly recommend if you are looking for a spot with good food and even better service!

This place definitely speaks to my heart. Right here in my hometown and IT is absolutely beautiful. The service is stellar with associates like Lindsey who was so friendly making sure we got the best seat in the house and Mary Grace was fixing the best cocktails. Mary Grace gave us great options for the dinner and paired them with amazing drinks. Alyssa came in and finished off the service with great team work. Devon even came over to make sure we were 100% satisfied. I would absolutely recommend coming here if you’re in the Va Beach area. I so Love IT.

For a restaurant that states a 20% gratuity is “customary and appropriate,” the level of service we received during Sunday lunch did not justify that expectation. The food itself was excellent. I ordered the Ora King salmon, which was melt in your mouth soft while remaining perfectly seared allowing for a crispy bite, and easily the highlight of the meal. My wife’s skirt steak was also fantastic. We also tried the crispy calamari and the “fancy” chicken tenders. The tenders were decent, but outside of the caviar topping, they felt more like glorified Nashville hot chicken than anything memorable. What hurt the experience was the disconnect between the restaurant’s upscale dining presentation and the actual level of service. The restaurant was not busy during our visit and we had reservations with Resy at (1:45pm on Sunday) because we were a party of two, and there were only a few other tables occupied yet basic service details consistently slipped. Also from the perspective of potential up sells and offers, there were plenty of opportunities to offer us more drinks or items to try as we sat there with a lot of idle time. Finished plates and utensils sat on the table for 10–15 minutes before being cleared and replaced. When friends unexpectedly joined us, the restaurant was able to accommodate them easily, but service noticeably became even more disorganized afterward. Dessert was ultimately delivered by who seemed to be the general manager, yet we still were not given enough utensils for everyone at the table and had to request additional silverware ourselves. None of the staff were rude or outright unprofessional, but the service simply did not match the expectations created by a mandatory gratuity or the restaurant’s upscale atmosphere. Great food but the service still needs refinement.I do understand that Virginia Beach’s growing fine dining scene has likely created strong competition for experienced servers, hosts, and hospitality staff, especially as more upscale concepts continue opening in the area. That said, the restaurant has been open long enough now that the service experience should feel more polished and aligned with the expectations created by its pricing, atmosphere, and mandatory gratuity policy.

Place was very nice! Got a Filet and was cooked to perfection. Service was wonderful, can’t wait to come back again!
