We waited 90 minutes for our salad and entree (served at the same time). We ended up not eating the food as it looked horrible. I would caution anyone considering going here…unfortunately the beautiful outside space is ruined with the poor service and food.

I randomly stopped for lunch at The Yard a few weeks ago, an outdoor spot tucked right inside (&outside) The Iron Horse Hotel in Milwaukee. I ordered the turkey BLT and loved that it came on a buttery, flaky croissant—such a great touch that took the sandwich to the next level. That said, I tried the chicken katsu sandwich and it was seriously one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had—perfectly cooked chicken, the flavors were on point, and the mayo? Everything. I came across a “new menu” on Google & was a little bummed to see it’s no longer on the updated menu. I really hope they bring it back or I looked at an “old” or outdated new menu 😅😂 The ambiance was great—I sat in the front near the hotel, but the outdoor lounge area looked super cozy and inviting. I’d love to come back at night, when the string lights and fire towers are lit up I feel like the area would be even cozier and cuter 😊 The service was okay; I’m not sure if it’s because we were sitting outside but it felt like we didn’t get much service at all. Overall, I really enjoyed the food and the vibe, and I’ll definitely be returning. 😊

Wonderful atmosphere and food and drink choice is amazing! Celebrated my step daughters 21st. That being said, unlucky night for us! Some of our orders were misplaced or forgotten about… and when they apologized (which we appreciated by the way), we figured out one of the foods they made quickly ended up being completely raw yet. I will definitely be coming here again because I love the vibe! However, I think we might try to hit earlier in the day to avoid some of the misfortune!

I always have a good time at everything ironhorse. Great brand - great staff - it's a quality time. I recently attended their NYE party in their very dog friendly hotel and it was fantastic. Back to the yard. I have been here a few times during the summer and it is usually popping. People of all ages, dogs, good food and craft drinks. The service is always great. It's an energetic space that draws a crowd.

Solid and busy spot for Sunday brunch. Food was solid variety everyone should be able to enjoy. Service was friendly and never annoying and they made an concerted effort to keep bottomless mimosas exactly that around the floor. The loaded potatoes might not look like a lot at first glance but the bowl is deceiving and if you leave hungry I’d personally be impressed.
