My Husband and I had dinner here for the first time on Tuesday! We definitely were not expecting the interior of the restaurant to look so fine dinning , but also have that casual feel to it. Our server’s name was Elijah , he went above and beyond for us. The service was amazing and , he was very knowledgeable of the menu. He recommended a couple food items , which we had gotten and everything was delicious! Definitely will be coming back and telling our friends and family about this restaurant. Highly recommended the Texas Twinkies to start off with. I’m not a spice person but these tasted phenomenal. The pulled pork, and briskest was probably the most tender cuts of meat I’ve ever had at a BBQ restaurant. The meat loaf was also very good. We came to this restaurant because of the good reviews and we’re definitely not let down.

Our visit to Bobby Q in Mesa began a bit roughly - but TL;DR; the good news is some great staff turned the evening around! In short - if you want a booth, make sure you specify that when you put in your name - it changes the wait time. While we waited, we ordered Cokes from the bar, and Marquis gave a warm welcome and great service! Upon finally sliding into our booth, we found the seats hadn't been brushed off - and it was very crumb-y (pun intended) - we ended up using our napkins and then grabbing new sets from a nearby table. We also learned the Coke was FLAT and bitter - not great. However our server, Calvin, during that typical greeting and small talk actually invited us to share our concerns, asking us not to hold back and as a result went above and beyond to turn our experience around. An additional visit from Manager Josh followed, apologizing and genuinely seemed to want the the feedback as a tool for improvement. From that point, everything was great! From getting replacement drinks, to sampling the pulled pork and brisket to tender ribs, and the good sized Cajun shrimp appetizer, the team truly redeemed the evening, and the apple cobbler (it's got a pastry top!) and cinnamon sugar donuts was a great close to the meal. Calvin and Josh gave a masterclass in how to turn a meh start into a memorable meal. We're looking forward to going back -next time with a booth request upfront!

First time in Mesa, AZ and I was graving some good BBQ. I saw the pictures and reviews and knew I had to try it. This place has a really good atmosphere, great service and the food is worth bragging about! The smoked wings were on point, we really enjoyed how they were served. The cornbread was some of the best I've ever had! They have a nice and big menu, which made it hard, because I wanted to try it all! I had some amazing ribs with some tasty sides. The service goes over and beyond, explaining the restaurant since we've never been there before, asking about any food allergies and being fast and attentive with a great smile throughout the whole meal. I wish I lived closer! I will be back again!

We went here tonight for my brothers birthday. It was his first since we lost my parents and I wanted to make sure it was really special. As soon as I told our server Calvin it was like he was one of the family. He made sure we had non stop refills, earnest recommendations and a genuine care that is rare these days. All of our food was amazing and they even sang to my brother even though it’s not something they normally do. Honestly an amazing birthday and night for all of us. And his hair was amazing as you can see in the picture. In my opinion best server at Bobby Q hands down. We will always request to be in Calvin’s section when we go and we will be going a lot more often!

We ended up here as we found out how incredibly busy it was at Texas Roadhouse across the street. It was almost a two hour wait. My boyfriend and I were seated within just a few minutes. The food was soooo delicious. The brisket was so tender it literally melted in your mouth. Mila was our server and I can honestly say we had the best service ever. She was so attentive and sweet and made our night special. She went above and beyond. We will definitely be coming back.
