I spontaneously stopped in on Sunday around brunch time with a group of four. We were celebrating my daughter‘s recent graduation. Seeing as they had other locations in Scottsdale and Arcadia I was excited to see something like this in Mesa. However, over the course of my visit my excitement diminished. Service started ok but quickly became slow when the food arrived. One of my guest had pancakes served to her with a fly floating in her syrup. We had to wait about six minutes before our waiter came to check on us after we got our food before she can get her syrup replaced. I ordered eggs Benedict, which traditionally and as on their menu states poached egg. Mine was given to me both my eggs were hard boiled. If I wasn’t pressed for time, I would have sent it back to the kitchen. At this point the service had slowed down so much, I just didn’t want to wait. I will say the ambience of this place is great. I love the decor it was cool and my sister enjoyed her cocktail. I wanted to like this place but just didn’t.

Upscale nice place with lots of outdoor seating. Food was really good including the desert. It took them a while to seat us only because everyone had disappeared. After that service was ok except they for got to bring us lemons and the first bottle of water they brought was rather warm. We also had to ask for ice. It's a great place for special occasions but probably not for regular visits. We will certainly go again sometime. Plan on average of $25 or more per person for a meal, drinks on top of that and same with appetizers and desert.

Very nice renovation from the Irish pub place. No wait on a Sunday. Brunch menu. Clean and friendly staff. Food was upscale from average sit down restaurant. Everything was prepared to our liking. No complaints. Will be back to try the dinner menu.

Hubby and I have been waiting for The VIG to open. Went to lunch here today before my hair appointment at Salon27 next door. It wasn’t crowded when we went in around 11:30, but by the time we left at 12:30, it was pretty full. Our waitress, Azhia, was fabulous. She was friendly and attentive without hovering. The food was so good. Hubby said it was the best burger he’s ever had. The Caesar salad with chicken was great. I love the Parmesan crisps they sprinkled on top. The butterscotch bread pudding was scrumptious. We got the ice cream on the side (I don’t like it on top of the warm bread pudding). The music wasn’t loud, which was nice. Not cheap, but worth the price. We will be back.

We stopped by The Vig in Mesa for brunch and had a really enjoyable experience overall. The atmosphere was stylish yet laid-back, with great natural light and upbeat energy that made for a perfect weekend spot. The Honey Hot chicken sandwich was crispy and juicy, served with perfectly seasoned fries and a fresh side of slaw. The turkey bacon avocado sandwich was stacked thick and paired nicely with sweet potato fries that hit just the right level of crisp. Both dishes came out hot and plated beautifully. We couldn’t skip the massive skillet cinnamon roll, which looked almost too good to eat. It was warm, gooey, and rich—definitely a shareable item for two (or three). For drinks, the espresso martini and margarita were well-crafted and balanced, rounding out the meal perfectly. Service was friendly and attentive without being rushed. The only reason for docking one star is that the food, while great, didn’t have much in options for a brunch menu—but the quality made it worth the visit. Overall, The Vig in Mesa AZ nails the modern brunch experience with solid food, great drinks, and a relaxed but upscale vibe. Definitely worth a return visit.
