Brendan Courtney a month agoI just went to the new location a block away, and WOW the new location is awesome! I had the chicken enchiladas one green one red, it was amazing! Also had the Tinga Tacos, also amazing! I had a skinny spicy margarita, extra spicy. The new location is beautiful, plenty of seating. Putting this one in rotation, what are you waiting for?
Mela Moloi a month agoCentrico - A Fantastic Authentic Mexican Experience We had such a great time at Centrico! The food was phenomenal from start to finish. We went with the beef enchiladas, some ceviche, and the chicken quesadilla, and honestly the quesadilla was the best thing on the table. We would come back just for that alone. Fair warning though, don’t judge the lack of presentation because we honestly regret not getting more pictures and videos! The food came out so fast and smelled so incredible that we just dove straight in. No time for photos when it looks AND smells that good! The vibe was so good. We sat outside, the weather was perfect, and it just felt like a real authentic Mexican experience. Loved every second of it. We also have to give a huge shoutout to our server Maria. She was so warm, so attentive, and honestly just made the whole night. You could tell she genuinely loves what she does. Maria, we see you and we appreciate you so much! We’re not big drinkers so we skipped the drinks menu, but honestly the food and the experience more than made up for it. If you’re looking for good Mexican food and even better vibes, Centrico is the move. Highly recommend!
Steve A 2 months agoOverall this was a very good experience. I’d go back, here's why... *Food: we started with the chips and homemade guacamole. The chips were very good and the guacamole was mashed table-side and was excellent, super fresh, though not very plentiful, one avocado I believe. I ordered the chili verde, it tasted good but was very watery, 90% liquid, 10% meat, my buddy asked if I ordered soup. It had several soft, yummy chunks of pork, good cheese, and came with 4 excellent steamy, chewy, warm, delicious tortillas that seemed house-made. We also ordered the burrito which was very good, great size, fresh ingredients and the tacos which were decent, not amazing. The 2 margaritas we ordered were outstanding! *Service: Our server, busser, the manager and maybe the owner who took care of us were all very nice, prompt, knowledgable and friendly. I hate the idea of "complaining" about overly-attentive service, but we had our great server, an attentive busser, followed by/or proceeded by a manager and maybe another owner checking on us pretty frequently and at times the "more margaritas?" felt a little heavy on the upselling. To be fair, they each probably didn't know the others were asking, but this could have been better coordinated. Still appreciated. *Ambiance: really great music, nice variety, comfy, open, light, super easy to chill here. They struggled for a few minutes getting the lights dialed in, on and off, up and down around sunset, but they got there, no biggie, super comfortable. *Value: very fair for what you get, good quality, reasonable portions, comfortable, excellent margs. *Overall: I definitely recommend Centrico and look forward to going back. If you're anywhere downtown and looking for a great experience,, head to Centrico.
Saaketh 7 months agoTLDR: Sauces were the highlight. Came here for a change-up given I was in AZ and wanted to try Mexican food. Appreciated the chips and salsa but found the guac to be a bit bland - the salsa was far more flavorful. The enchiladas came recommended highly, and though I’m not usually a fan of them, found myself persuaded by the server’s rec and the 4.7 star ratings. Ultimately didn’t find them to be that amazing, tho I liked the sauces surrounding the chicken enchiladas. Service was great otherwise, and ambiance was decent.
matthew mckenney 4 months agoHad a great lunch today in downtown PHX. Absolutely delicious. My good friend told to ask if Carnitas would be available ( not always on the menu) My lucky day!! They were available and fantastic. If you’re downtown for a game, concert or just any event it’s worth going to. I’ve eaten at a Bunch restaurants around the arena and they’re all very nice but this is the only one that I’ve written review about-it was that good.
