Melodi Bac a month agoReally glad I came across this place. We went here on a week day. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. We ordered Coban salata. The sauce was so delicious. Ezme was one of the best ezme I ever had. Be careful, it was spicy:) As a main, I ordered salmon and my husband ordered adana. Both very so delicious and tasteful. Although for some reason the rice stole my heart. What a taste! I dont knoe what but something about it was so good. They have raki and meze options as well. As a dessert we had rice pudding and it is safe to say that its the best rice pudding I had in San Diego. The service was exceptional as well. Throughout the dinner, our server took very good care of us. We had the privilege to meet one of the owners as well. She was so welcoming and made our experience even better. Definitely recommend here if you want to try good Turkish food.
Josh Baltazar 8 months agoWe had a reservation for 7 pm on a Friday evening, it was quite busy so glad we had that reservation. Initally walking in, there is a very nice vibe and decor to the restaurant. We ended up ordering the Beef Borek as the starter. This we did not like as much, we were fortunate to try some really nice authentic borek over the years but this one seems to be a very health conscious version of it. For the main dishes we ordered the Adana Kebab (served with rice and green salad) and the Iskender (doner with fried bread, tomato sauce and yogurt). I've been looking for Iskender for over a year and this definitely hit the spot. For dessert we ordered Kunefe which was made perfectly. It had the right amount of Syrup, a good amount of cheese inside and the crispiness was on point. Overall great service, great food and great restaurant!
Vaish “Siso” C 6 months agoWe had a lovely time here. Our barterders were very friendly and made it fun to sit at the bar. We throughly enjoyed our cocktails. Chicken Adona was tender and nicely spiced. Falafel was really tasty! Everything was great except pita bread wasn't as good.
Nivesh Mittal a month agoI went by myself and was told to sit on a high table or the bar. The restaurant was about 15% full. I am 6ft 3 and hate sitting on high tables or at the bar as my legs don't fit under the counter! Anyways, I asked about the chicken sautee, and the bartender told me a skewar of the kebab will be taken off the skewar, sauteed, and be served. The amount of chicken was no where near a skewar of chicken kebab. About 8 real small pcs. I told the bartender and she simply stopped asking after that. Totally ignored. No response. Zilch. Very surprising. The total quantity doesn't look small as you see in the picture but it's misleading because it's just full of peppers and onions. The right side has almost all the meat. 6 small pcs approx. And 1-2 small pcs to the left in the picture. The middle (80% of the entree) is just all peppers and onions. The taste was ok but unfortunately if they don't give the 'Meat' as they call that section of the menu, and they don't fix it even after a customer gives feedback on the spot, this is the review they'll get.
Umang Mistry 6 months agoThis place has its pros and cons. Pistachio Martini and there was another off the menu drink with lavender was the standout. Tugba was the server and bartender and I think she needs a raise. The service was slow but it was due to lack of staff. She made drink, brought the food and was cleaning up later. Massive props to her. About the food.. it was mid at best. Chicken felt dry, lamb was overcooked. But the Kunafa was probably the best I have had in this country. Having stayed in Dubai for a couple years .. this Kunafa was the closest I've had here.
