My hands down favorite pasta place in SF. The menu does change but it simply never misses. The food is rich and filling but not too much. I felt pleasantly full afterwards. Kinda spendy, but worth it for sure. We have only ever sat at the bar because it is so busy, but it was still an excellent experience

Cotogna is absolutely exceptional at what they do. The menu rotates seasonally, and honestly, we are left speechless after every single visit. One standout—though it seems to be a seasonal specialty—is the gazpacho. We still think about it constantly and hope it returns for the warmer months! Every dish we’ve tried showcases incredible technique and fresh ingredients. Pictures are from various times we’ve visited. Pro Tip: If you are visiting as a party of two, skip the standard table and request a seat at the counter near the pizza and salad station. It is a fantastic experience to watch the chefs at work and see the various dishes being prepared right in front of you!

We had a really exceptional dinner at Cotogna this past weekend and wanted to compliment the fantastic staff for a most wonderful time. Our niece was celebrating her impending nuptials, so we wanted to honor her and her fiance with a special family dinner. They offer a special Chef's Table for such celebrations, and it was perfect to streamline the evening for our group. Emily organized our event smoothly taking care of all the pre-arrangements with aplomb so that when the evening arrived, there was no fussing needed at all. Kyra hosted us so warmly with exuberance and the rest of the staff was so perfect and professional with the service. Most of all, each and every dish was outstanding. It was difficult to decide which one we enjoyed most. I will say the prosciutto was in a different league from all the other very good ones we have enjoyed before. The pastas were sublimely delicious and the steak was a peak above so many great steaks we have eaten. Last but not least, the gelato was revelatory. How can their dishes pop so much higher than the many wonderful times we have enjoyed these items before? Just amazing for sure. Thank you so very much to all of the Cotogna people. Can't wait to visit again!

Great experience all around. The dishes were carefully prepared and well presented. There was not a single dish we did not like. The Tortelli, Sunchoke and Rosemary pasta dish was absolutely exquisite. The staff were very attentive and knowledgeable about the dishes and wine. We felt very well taken care of.

Wow. Let me just start by saying Danny and Emile were amazing waiters. Extremely attentive to us and got the job done. The food was out of this world. Just wow. I can not believe how good the food was. All of our dishes were amazing. The honey comb ice cream was amazing I loved it. I wish I could eat it everyday. The bruschetta was out of this world. Wow. I could not believe it was that amazing. Overall 10/10
