Solid Jamaican food for a very reasonable price. We love the Jerk chicken. Braised oxtail was very flavorful as well. Fried plantains and rice and peas were good side dishes. Price was very reasonable. Not too busy on a weekend evening.

Back A Yard is a must try. Service was good & fast, food was delicious. They have limited outdoor seating. It does get busy sometimes because it's next to the university. Definitely check them out if you want a taste of the Caribbean

The jerk chicken plate was fantastic. The chicken itself was juicy and well seasoned, the fried plantains complemented it well, and the rice and sauce were nice enough to eat on its own. No-frills service and atmosphere, but good overall. There are a couple tables outside that are nice to sit and enjoy your meal. No bathrooms available. Street parking.

Back A Yard is my favorite spot! Their food is ALWAYS on point. I’ve tried several items from the menu and everything was so flavorful and delicious. If you’re lucky to order on a Wednesday, you must try their brown chicken stew. It was life changing for me! I also love their oxtails and curry chicken. I recommend getting the corn festivals if you are getting an entree in a gravy — they are perfect for mopping up flavorful sauces! I’ve also tried their corn bread, beef patty, collard greens, and mac and cheese. Everything is sooo good! You can’t go wrong at Back A Yard!

Bbq ribs (3pcs) and Bbq chicken (2pc) plate was delicious. Came with plantains and rice for sides. Ribs and chicken were tender and juicy. Great value.
