Vipul Singh 2 months agoParty of 3 went for dinner on a Monday night in April. We got to Suspiro around 8:45pm and were seated in one of the comfortable semi-circular booths immediately. The server was very friendly and attentive, and explained all the different sections of the menu quite well to us. We had 5 dishes and they were all very easy to share. From the regular menu, we had the berenjena (eggplant) and the chicken skewers. The berenjena was pretty bland except for the sauces served with it. The mint chutney served with the chicken skewers was great. We had 3 dishes from the special menu - octopus with squid ink, steak with potatoes, and the salmon, and these were all fantastic. Also had a couple of non-alcoholic mocktails which were pretty good. Total with tips and taxes came to around 75 bucks per person, so on the more expensive side for sure.
Lillyam Perez 2 months agoWe were looking for a restaurant with big windows on a rainy night and so grateful we landed here. The food is delicious and the service from Jazz, impeccable! We had their signature cocktails and it's the perfect kinda cocktail that pairs well with a rainy ambiance and a sunny day and we look forward to coming back on a sunny day to enjoy outside! And as Jazz said their cocktail menu pairs well with their food items. We had their tomato bisque perfect for a rainsy night), charcuterie board with jamon iberico and queso manchego (accompanied with fruits and a perfectly paired made-in-house jam) and had the paella de mariscos (the shrimp was my favorite, the hubby preferred the mussels and we both liked the squids texture) To top us off, we had a two glasses of their pinot noir and flan for dessert. I wished the flan was a bit sweeter but my husband thought it had thw perfect amount of sweetness. The decor is beautiful, open and airy with a bar at its center. We got seated at like a long bench which with a cushion as the backing (i found uncomfortable and kinda was hoping we'd get seated at a booth since the restaurant wasn't too busy but alas it meant we got to meet Jazz!) When we come back we hope to have more of an appetite and try one of their platos fuertes.
Alaina E 6 months agoCame here for a late lunch and the server and food were all amazing. I ended up ordering the seafood paella which came out really fast and delicious. They were able to accommodate our request for vegetarian/pescatarian options with no issues. We also got two drinks but mine didn't taste that great is there a quick to recommend a different drink as well. Overall, I would definitely come back for more especially now knowing there's a hidden speakeasy!
Mohit Goenka a month agoSuspiro at Santana Row leans Spanish-Peruvian with a heavy seafood and grilled-meat focus, so I went in expecting the vegetarian side to be an afterthought. It wasn't. The kitchen actually puts care into the meat-free plates, and that made the meal. 🌱 The standout was the noodle paella, their Fideuá done vegetarian. Short toasted noodles instead of rice, properly crisp at the edges, with mushrooms, broccolini, snow peas and carrots holding their own. The aioli tied it together. It's an easy dish to phone in and they didn't. The rest of the vegetarian food was solid across the board, nothing felt like a token substitution. Drinks were fine, not the reason to come back, but they did the job alongside the food. 🍸 Then the Chocolate hazlenut closed it out and stole the show. Dense chocolate and hazelnut with a clean almond-flour base, rich without tipping into heavy. If you go for one thing, go for that. 🍫 A genuinely good vegetarian-friendly stop in a place I assumed wouldn't bother.
W T 3 months agoService is nice and friendly. I love the decor here; it's very well thought out and put together. The Spanish omelette was not that good (it's big but dry and lacking flavor) but the eggs benedict seafood was great. A nice dressed salad and potatoes come with the meal. 2nd time here; it's a good brunch location with ample indoor and outdoor seating.
