Note to the staff: Thank you for being so kind and accommodating, especially so close to closing. We really appreciated how attentive and welcoming everyone was throughout the meal. The waiter and waitress in training both made us feel very comfortable and cared for, and it honestly turned a simple late dinner into a really nice night out. Please pass along our thanks to the team. For those looking for a review: Came into Oro around 8:30pm after work with an OpenTable reservation, pretty close to closing time, and the staff could not have been kinder. Even with the restaurant closing at 9pm, we never felt rushed once. Service was quick, attentive, and genuinely welcoming the whole night. The ambience was lovely and made for a really relaxing dinner after a long day. We split the spaghetti & meatballs and loved it, especially with the extra parmesan and black pepper they brought out for us. For dessert we got the house made gelato with pizzelle and tried the pistachio and rotating chocolate flavor, along with two coffees. We ended up pouring the coffee over the gelato at the end like an affogato and it was honestly one of the best parts of the meal. At around 8:50pm we asked if it was still okay to order dessert and they reassured us that it was completely fine and that we were welcome to stay and enjoy ourselves. Both our waiter and the waitress in training were wonderful and made us feel very taken care of. Really appreciated the hospitality and we’ll definitely be back.

I had a wonderful experience at Oro in downtown Colorado Springs. First off - the food is absolutely worth it. Highly recommend the Pappardelle Lamb Ragù, it is a spicy pasta dish and has the most incredible flavor. I also ordered the asparagus & arugula - yikes on the deviled-egg-adjacent topping but the rest of the dish was delicious & pairs beautifully with the pasta. They offer focaccia on the appetizer menu which was delightful; however, it was cold by the time my pasta arrived. I recommend asking it to be served with the entree if you plan to eat warm bread with your pasta. One thing I would like to note - the bar is too tall for petite ladies with the seating offered. Every single woman at the bar had to lift their elbows to their shoulders in order to reach things in front of them. I found it exceptionally difficult to eat my dinner & had to transfer food from my dinner plate to a tiny plate in order to hold it and eat over my lap. I’m not sure if they paired counter height (36”) stools with a bar height (42”) bar or what went wrong, but I recommend sitting at a table to eat and drinks only at the bar for ladies. Lastly - ambiance and service are excellent. The venue is well lit, spacious and beautifully adorned. Service is top notch. Natalie was very attentive and polite and made the night fantastic. Overall, a perfect date night spot or venue to celebrate a special occasion.

Amazing dinner and drink experience. Every bite was an amazing discovery into a new palate of delicious flavor. Spencer was so knowledgeable and guided us through the menu… OMG We had to order two desserts. Don’t miss out on the bison carpaccio 11/10

I had an incredible dining experience here. The food was perfectly cooked and wonderfully seasoned. I enjoyed every bite! I love when classic dishes are executed so well. I ordered rigatoni bolognes, tiramisu, along with a couple of drinks. The server was attentive and friendly even on a very busy night. I enjoyed the evening with a friend but I saw couples and families in there as well. It's suitable for any event or for a night on the town. Inside it looks upscale with sleek decor.

The food was great, atmosphere was beautiful, and they use really good ingredients. Wasn’t crazy about the egg salad on top of the asparagus, but over all the food was delicious! Spencer was an awesome server. Definitely pricey but if you want a nice date night out in the springs this is the spot!
