Food that matches the stunning falls! Our dinner reservation was worth it! We were greeted with a free local tomato dish, highlighting what real, locally grown, fresh produce tastes like. We had the trout and Berkshire pork chop as our mains. Both were impeccable. The trout was flaky and perfectly prepared with butter and herbs, and there were other flavor options. The chop was buttery soft and tender. Both dishes truly show the care taken with premium ingredients. The house made cornbread and butter is exceptional. Although full, we couldn’t resist the honey cake for dessert! Reminiscent of a banana bread, it was moist, buttery, and perfumed with orange. We can’t wait to visit again.

Our server Brandon was absolutely excellent. He was not only friendly and attentive but also especially thoughtful and respectful toward senior guests. His recommendations were spot-on, and his warm demeanor made our whole family feel very comfortable and well taken care of!

Tanisha was a superstar. The sodas were crispy. The hot honey chicken sandwich, which we shared, had the most plush bread and the tastiest pickles on it! It came out cut in half and plated separately, with our fries split as well. Truly a phenomenal dining experience, and especially surprising to pair the picturesque hike and falls with fine dining.

A Hidden Gem in the Mountains - A Must-Try Experience Restaurant 1858 is a true hidden gem nestled in the heart of the mountains. I was utterly amazed to find a premier dining experience in such a beautiful and serene location. Our large party was expertly accommodated by the knowledgeable and friendly staff, who went above and beyond to make our evening special. They provided fantastic recommendations and even treated us to some delightful samples. The meal started with a bang—the appetizers alone were a treat, especially the cornbread, which was simply outstanding. The salad was bursting with flavor, so much so that dressing was entirely optional. But the highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the 1858 Wood Fired Mixed Grill. The lamb chop was infused with a rich, smoky flavor that left everyone at the table raving. And the summer beans? Absolutely the best I’ve ever had—perfectly seasoned with a touch of smokiness that took them to another level. Dining at Restaurant 1858 felt like a culinary journey, comparable to dining in renowned food cities like New Orleans, Houston, and more. Every single person in our group was pleased, and we all found ourselves sampling each other's meals with no complaints whatsoever. If you find yourself in the mountains, make it a point to stop by this restaurant—you won’t be disappointed!

Just amazing!!! How could you not have a magical experience with the beautiful scenery of falls and mountains. So peaceful with the sounds of the water running past. Lil chipmunks scampering along the rocks. We were greeted by a curtious hostess and escorted to our choice of table outside. and introduced to our server Sophia , this young lady was on point in everyway. She is knowledgeable and helpful with the menu and cocktails along with a smile the whole time. I'm such a foodie and couldn't just pick one appetizer after Sophia took the time to describe each of them so we ordered all except the salads. Each and every one was delicious, so much I couldn't just pick one as a favorite. I ordered the trout with roasted almonds and pineapple mixture on top all I can say is outstanding and came with rice and mixed vegetables. We ended the night with the smores cake was perfect and not to sweet. The chef sent us out a little surprise of egg plant with a honey glaze and topped with chopped mint, was tasty dish. Now lets talk about the drinks I started off with the Gold panning, It was so good made with a honeybee gin and topped wirh a amazing honey foam and garnished with honey comb shaped wafer. finished the night with a Gold Rush after dinner drink had gold leaf as garnish so my favorite. every server passing by our table gave a smile and was sweet. The manager checked in on us and was kind and accommodating. This place will be our now go to for special events. Thank you to everyone who showed up to work this day and worked hard to make our dining experience the best it could be.
