Came here for the first time last weekend for a group date night and we were all blown away by the Louisiana-inspired dishes and flavor combinations of Nola Jane. This place “smacked” to put it gently. Can’t wait to come back and try more dishes but first our review :) We loved the exposed brick walls and the Denver Sports decor, the close proximity to Ball Arena and the kitchen being open late are ideal. The different bars/sitting rooms made each space a different vibe (Upstairs bar was our fav) If you sit upstairs you will need to order from the bar - only downfall on busy nights. We had a combination of plates and drinks. The plates were big and full of flavor, pictures and ratings are in the photos. I could talk for hours on how good the food was but limited space here. Every bite was absolutely delicious, each plate was its own experience. Drinks were Nola Jane Old Fashioned 10/10, Moscow Mule 8/10, Expresso Martini 9/10, Nola Paloma 10/10, Hurricane 8/10. We highly recommend the BBQ Shrimp Mac n Cheese (not pictured), Jalapeño Hush puppies (not pictured), Red Beans and Rice, Blackened Catfish and Jambalaya.

I recently visited Nola Jane’s and had a mixed experience. My fiancée ordered the shrimp po’boy with okra and greens, and I got the catfish meal with dirty rice. I will say the fried food was really good, well seasoned and it definitely gave that Louisiana flavor. I say that as a Louisiana native, so I know what I’m talking about when it comes to that. The dirty rice was not good at all. It honestly made me question how the red beans and jambalaya might taste if the dirty rice was like that. The greens were even worse. My fiancée said they were extremely spicy and salty, and after I tried them, I agree. They were just not it. The service was not good either. One guy took our order, but someone else brought the food, and he never came back to check on us or see if we needed refills. That was disappointing. I told my fiancée I was not paying for food I didn’t like, but one of the ladies was kind enough to take the greens and dirty rice off the bill, which I appreciated. The BBQ mac and cheese was amazing. It was so good I would honestly go back just to eat that by itself. Highly recommend fried food.

The only bar we go to for the food. Perfect place to watch a game, or to sit on the rooftop patio during a nice day. The staff is always incredibly friendly as well. 10/10 we usually get the gumbo, red beans and rice (with sausage), and the shrimp mac, which are all amazing. These are the cups in the picture, but they have bowls as well

Great experience overall. The food, service, and atmosphere were all strong across the board, and everything felt consistent from start to finish. Definitely a place I’d come back to

The food is incredible, the service is top notch. Their BBQ Mac N Cheese and the Bread Pudding is proof that God love us and wants us to be happy. You have to order those!
