My partner and I tried the “Taste of the South” tasting menu and everything on it was amazing. The collards side was probably my favorite part of the meal. So much flavor!!! The cornbread was also one of the highlights. My least favorite part (but still on the scale of generally good) was probably the dessert but part of me can’t separate if it was because I was so full by the end. I got the pandan drink. Was not a huge fan of the flavor. The space itself was so beautiful and well decorated. Highly recommend and would definitely come back again if we’re ever in the area.

A Southern-style restaurant with a Korean twist. Great start with Hey Peaches cocktail. Best cornbread I've ever tasted! My friend mentioned grits is her best ever. Chiken&Waffles were good, but other dishes were ordinary. So guess it brings up sth best for anyone on the basis of ordinariness.

Succotash had strong, delicious flavors! They have a happy hour menu at the bar Mon-Fri 11-4, where you can get a few dollars off of a lot of their appetizers. We tried nearly everything on the happy hour menu. Delicious, would get again - Jamie's cornbread: Decadent, buttery, and sweet with a wonderful honey brown butter on the side. - Shrimp and grits: Delicious savory crabmeat gravy with plump shrimp. Pretty light for shrimp and grits, and closer to Asian flavors. - Smoked chicken wings: Hot, crisp, and a burst of flavor and juicy meat. - Hot fried oysters: Like Nashville fried oysters. Quite spicy and tasty. Wouldn't get again - Chicken and waffles: The chicken was quite under-seasoned and we could only taste the syrup. The waffle was pretty good and we liked the pickled okra. But the chicken was lacking flavor. The restaurant is super spacious with tall ceilings and lots of natural light. Service is great. I'm glad we got to try it! I'd come back during happy hour.

I came here for dinner with a large group of 15. We had their family style set menu. The inside is slightly upscale and can get quite noisy. The service was great and attentive. The set menu was amazing. Even a colleague from the south said the food was great. As a vegetarian I appreciated that many items were vegetarian friendly. The only thing we didn't really enjoy was the truffle on the dessert menu. We tried some of the mocktails and they were very delicious as well. Highly recommend coming here!!

Generous portions in a beautiful location. Extremely convenient as it is right next to the National Gallery station, would love to visit for happy hour. The chicken and waffles definitely hit the spot for a hearty meal. 4 pieces of well fried chicken and 2 quarters of a waffle. I appreciate that it is only slightly drizzled in syrup, so there is a bit of sweetness and still retains the crunch without becoming overly sticky. The cornbread is absolutely delicious - so soft and and honey butter is *chefs kiss*
