Dinner at Othello - Springfield turned out to be one of those evenings that simply checks every box. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm and inviting, and the service throughout the night was attentive, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. For us, it was a solid 10/10 experience. The food and drinks were phenomenal. We started with the Tinned Fish Board, which was beautifully presented and packed with flavor—perfect for sharing and a great way to begin the meal. For the main course, we ordered the braised lamb, and it was absolutely outstanding. The lamb was tender, rich, and cooked to perfection with flavors that truly highlight the heart of Mediterranean cuisine. What makes this place special is how it offers something a little different from the usual dining routine. If you’re craving great Mediterranean flavors or simply want to venture out and try a spot in another part of town, this is definitely a place worth discovering. Everything from the food to the drinks and the service made the evening memorable. We’ll definitely be returning to explore more of the menu. Highly recommended.

We visited Othello for the first time tonight. This place is awesome. Atmosphere is very laid back. Restaurant is very clean!! The service from the hostess, to the bar staff, and especially our waitress was phenomenal. They are very attentive, helpful, and a complete pleasure to be served by. Then there’s the food. We had oysters, whipped feta, lamb shank, and tried all 3 varieties of their bread (which is probably some of the best bread I’ve ever eaten). The feta was creamy and very flavorful, topped with olive oil and Za’atar. The oysters were fresh and the harissa cocktail sauce was perfect. The bread is a family recipe that they fry and then top with either Sea Salt, Za’atar, or Harissa. Dipped in the feta it’s amazing, but then dipped in the jus from the lamb shank, it’s to die for. The lamb shank was perfectly cooked and served with the most delicious rice, a poached pear, and a yummy yogurt sauce. Definitely 5 star and a place you want to put in your list to visit!! Had such a great experience at Othello! We sat out on the patio and loved the atmosphere — the lighting and ambiance made it feel so cozy and cute. We ordered a couple of the ginger gin sparkly drinks along with a few different starters, and every single thing was delicious and very different. The menu has Mediterranean dishes with touches of Spanish and Pakistani influences, which made everything feel unique and full of flavor. I also really loved that most of the menu is designed as shareables, so it was fun trying a variety of different plates together.

The food is a story that could never be told second hand. You have to come here and taste this human touch of perfection.. I tried the lamb chop and the half chicken entrées. And also ordered appetizers to start. Everything was absolutely on point. Come to this restaurant. You can’t miss out.

★★★★★ Othello Restaurant is an absolute gem. From the moment the dishes hit the table, it was clear that every plate was crafted with intention, balance, and respect for quality ingredients. We started with an array of mezze that were nothing short of exceptional. The hummus trio was silky, rich, and perfectly seasoned, finished with high-quality olive oil and spices that elevated each variation. The labneh was luxuriously creamy with just the right tang, and paired beautifully with their fresh, warm pita and za’atar bread—soft inside, lightly crisp outside, and generously topped. The falafel were crisp on the exterior with a tender, herbaceous interior, served over a smooth bed of hummus and brightened with pomegranate and fresh greens. The crudo-style fish dish was a standout—delicate slices in a velvety, citrus-kissed sauce, topped with grains and microgreens for texture and depth. It was refined, balanced, and incredibly fresh. Even the Ceaser salad, finished with anchovies and a snowfall of finely grated cheese, showed impressive attention to detail and flavor harmony. The sweet potato appetizer was my favorite by far! We ordered several shareable items as we couldn’t decide. Drinks were amazing served perfectly by Caz the bartender! Her recommendations were top! Beyond the food, the ambiance was warm and inviting, with a relaxed yet polished feel. Service was attentive without being intrusive, and timing between courses was seamless. Sebastian stopped by and we shared our comments with him as well! I took the chicken dinner home for my husband and he absolutely loved it, to which Sebastian said great choice! Indeed! Othello delivers an elevated Mediterranean dining experience that feels both authentic and contemporary. Exceptional execution across the board—highly recommended.
