Melissa Hamilton 4 months agoMy boyfriend and I had a wonderful birthday dinner here tonight! The ambiance, food, and service were outstanding. Appetizers: wonton soup and red oak salad. Main: spaghetti Nero and Dry Aged Duck Breast. Dessert: Chocolate Budini and Toffee Butter Cake Shout out to Sam for doing an excellent job taking care of us!! World class meal !
Sara Olds 3 months agoWe had a great experience at Spoon and stable once again! My all time favorite S&S dish is the halibut, but unfortunately they didn’t have that on the menu this time :/ we started with the bison tartare (not photographed), and it was delicious and salty! Great appetizer! We both ordered their fish dishes for our main course, and we agreed that the trout was much better for us. It was similar to a piece of salmon. The mussels and scallops on the side were a great touch! The red snapper was not very flakey, tasted under-cooked, and fishy. Idk, however, if this is how it is normally cooked, and it’s simply not my preference. The bok choy and tom yum sauce was delicious though! If you’ve never tried red snapper before, I would not recommend this being your first experience with it. We also got a side of the glazed carrots and fries! Both were the delicious! I think the fries could have been better with an aioli dip instead of plain ketchup, but it was still fine! The carrots are a must-try though! All in all, a fair experience. I can’t get myself to take off a star because I’ve had so many better experiences here. I will keep my hopes high and come back when the halibut is back on the menu!
Yinglu Wang 5 months agoWe visited on a Sunday morning and were so glad we reserved a table online a few days ahead—by noon it was packed with a long line out the door. Parking can be a little tricky since it’s street parking and paid, but it wasn’t too hard to find a spot if you don’t mind walking a couple of blocks. Everything we ordered was delicious, from the drinks to the brunch dishes. I highly recommend trying the croissant—it’s huge, perfect for sharing, and absolutely yum! The steak was cooked beautifully and definitely worth the price. I also loved sitting by the open kitchen and watching the chefs at work—it added a fun energy to the experience. The service was warm and welcoming, while still giving us space. Everyone we interacted with was professional, stylish, and friendly.
Kyle Schiffler 2 months agoOne of Minneapolis' BEST restaurants! The pork chop is amazing. Also the Bison Tartare is a great starter. It is very hard to get a reservation so plan in advance or do what we did and hope there is seating at the bar and we lucked out with 2 open spots.
Abrina Leonhard 5 months agoI recently dined at Spoon and Stable for a birthday celebration, and as always, I was impressed by the delightful atmosphere and great service. Health Concerns: Unfortunately, I need to address a concerning issue. Later that evening, I began experiencing significant stomach cramps, which persisted into the following morning. To my surprise, both my dining companions reported similar symptoms. We did share the dessert and a few cheese curds, which were the only common items consumed by all three of us. It’s unclear what caused these issues—whether it was one specific dish or a contamination of everything we had—but it’s definitely something to be cautious about. Food and Service: We had in several dishes, including: - Fish - Broccolini - Fries - Spaghetti Nero - Potato Gnocchi - Cream Spinach Cheese Curds Each dish was delicious, We also shared a dessert that was a chocolate, whose name started with a "B." While everything was enjoyable, I would like to point out a discrepancy with the champagne pricing; the menu listed the cheapest option at $13, but it was charged at $15. Conclusion: While I wholeheartedly recommend Spoon and Stable for its wonderful atmosphere and delicious food, but I wonder if anyone else got sick on 1/7/2026? I hope this feedback helps the restaurant address the potential health concern.
