Jason H a month agoLate-night Vegas food hits differently, and Market Street Cafe absolutely delivered. My wife, some friends, and I stopped in late night and ended up having one of our favorite meals of the trip. The Chicken & Waffle was outstanding - crispy hand-breaded chicken tenders with a fluffy waffle that tasted homemade. Sweet, savory, crunchy… exactly what you want after a long Vegas night. We also tried Cal’s World-Famous Oxtail Soup, and now we understand why people talk about it so much. The broth was rich and comforting, the oxtail was tender, and the rice, ginger, and cilantro brought everything together perfectly. Total comfort food. Beyond the food, the service was warm, friendly, and welcoming even late at night, which made the experience even better. It had that classic old-school Vegas café vibe in the best possible way. We’ll definitely be back next trip to Vegas.
Jannette W 2 months agoMarket Street Café inside the California Hotel & Casino is a beloved 24/7 spot known for its Hawaiian‑style comfort food, generous portions, and fast, friendly service, drawing both locals and tourists for classics like oxtail soup (served until 11 pm), prime rib, saimin, and big breakfast plates. The atmosphere is casual and cozy, making it a reliable choice for brunch, lunch, dinner, or late‑night meals, though the no‑reservation policy often means a wait. Located near Fremont Street, it offers dine‑in and takeout, and when I tried the prime rib meal, it was impressively large, included dessert, and the staff were warm and welcoming.
Alejandro Bonilla 3 months agoThe Prime rib is really good. The crust, sauce and meal is an incredible deal. I’d encourage the upgrade to a Brownie dessert - the soups are also good, including the dumplings. This place is highly recommended.
Isabel Echevarria 7 months agoWe came to Market Street Café specifically to try the famous oxtail soup, and it definitely lived up to the hype. We did have about an hour-long wait, but once we were seated, everything moved quickly. Our order was taken right away, and soon enough we had our soup and a burger on the table. The oxtail soup was delicious. The meat fell right off the bone, and the broth was rich and full of flavor. I personally would have loved it to be hotter, since it came out more on the lukewarm side. I’m not sure if that’s intentional because they’re so busy and want to keep things moving, but either way, the flavor was incredible. The burger, on the other hand, was just okay and nothing particularly special. The service was wonderful, and the ambiance was great. The place was filled with so many local Hawaiian families that it made the experience feel even more authentic. Overall, worth the visit for the oxtail soup alone!
MaMa_MiA 11 months agoThis place is a 24h Hawaiian Restaurant. I came here with a group to try the famous oxtail soup (served 11pm- 6am). There is a wait time so be prepared. The oxtail soup broth was flavorful and the portion size was moderate with lots of fall-off-da bone oxtail. I couldn't finish the whole thing, so I took it to-go and it actually tastes better the next day when reheated. The atmosphere and service was average (not the same aloha spirit-I guess just food inspired). For drinks they stated that we had to order from the casino servers not at the restaurant, which was inconvenient, especially if you want a Hawaiian Sun juice with your meal. I wanted to their butterfish, but maybe next time when it is available.
