Wow incredible. If you ever find yourself in Albuquerque this is the place to go. I got the Eggplant dish which was delicious - probably the best eggplant I’ve ever had. And my partner got the lamb kebab which was cooked very well. The flavors were robust and complemented wonderfully. Also great atmosphere and very friendly staff. I’m so glad we stopped here on our way through New Mexico!

I was in town for a conference and was looking for something I wouldn't normally see back in Oklahoma. To what do my wondering eyes appear? Afghan Kabob House on Google maps. With a ratings, and having never eaten Afghani food before, I decided to roll the dice. Let me assure you, I walked out the winner. First off, you're greeted warmly by the staff. The place is bright and airy and clean. There's this really unique sitting area that's on the floor. I would love to do that, but I fear getting up would be the issue. I told the young man I'd never tried Afghani food before and he excitedly walked me through the menu. You could see how proud he was and I just knew it was going to be awesome. I settled on his favorite dish. I can't remember the name, but it was a tomato, chicken, and mango pickle dish. The rice is flavorful and the stew - it was like the best home cooking. My body needed food when I walked in the door; my heart walked away full. It was like sitting at somebody's dinner table. I even ate the leftovers cold later that night. Still top tier. Already trying to figure out how I can slip out of the conference to try the eggplant dish. Get over here. It's well worth it.

5 minutes walk from the train with only a 40 minutes layover meant we lucked out that they had fresh made Qabuli Palows. Perfectly cooked rice topped with a generous portion of lamb served with a well balanced flavor spicy sauce.

Excellent Afgan food. We enjoyed everything. The prices are fair and the lady at the counter was very nice. The rice and lamb shank were my favorite.

Growing up in North India, I had the chance to enjoy Afghan food, and finding a place like this in Albuquerque felt like the perfect opportunity to rekindle that nostalgia. It did not disappoint. The food was flavorful and comforting, and the warmth of the people here reminded me of those iconic National Geographic photo essays that first brought Afghanistan’s beauty to the world’s attention.
