My fiancée and I went to Alqueria for her birthday today. We had booked a reservation a few weeks in advance hoping to sit outside, but it was raining, so we ended up inside instead. The vibes were rustic, though the volume level was too high — not because of loud music or anything unreasonable, just a lack of sound dampening on the walls and ceiling. That's an easy fix that would go a long way. The menu was on the shorter side, and we shared everything: the bread & butter, the cheese & meat plate, the Crispy BBQ Pork Shank, a cocktail, and a dessert that was supposed to be a crème brûlée. The pork shank was absolutely amazing. It came with green beans (a bit undercooked) and grits that tasted more like polenta, but were very good. The cheese and meat plate was good, though the portions felt a little light and there were only 3 crostini on the plate. The cocktail was very good. Service was fast, and while we didn't feel checked on very often, it was always easy to get someone's attention when we needed it. That said, despite mentioning my fiancée’s birthday in the reservation's special event slot, again when we checked in, and again when our server first came to the table, it was never once acknowledged — which was a little disappointing. We were pretty happy heading into dessert, but the crème brûlée left us on a sour note. It appeared to have seasonal flavors, which sounded promising, but the brûléed top was soggy — possibly because whipped cream was added before it cooled — and didn't come close to covering the full surface of the custard. Most of what was there was fully burned, and we could only get a single crack out of the entire top. The rest of the dessert was well balanced, but without that crunchy topping, the passionfruit was just too tart for my fiancée. We ended up leaving a lot less happy than we would have had we skipped it.

The cocktails were fantastic and the "burrata & beets" was amazing! The burger fell short of its description, though. The meat was cooked to a PERFECT temperature, locking in that juicy goodness. The brioche bun was toasted to give just the right amount of crunch. My disappointment came from the lack of acid that I expected from the "pickled peppers" and absolutely no zing from the horseradish. Without those elements, the burger just tasted heavy and flat. I WOULD order it again, but I would request extra pickled peppers and/ or horseradish amto cut through the fat.

Was really looking for something good to eat and scrolling around maps I found this place. Overall everything about the experience was great. The food was nice and hot, I sat at the bar and Clay I think was his name, was friendly and easy to talk to as well as knowledgeable about the menu. The draft list was a little short but each draft was a craft beer or ipa so it was well worth it, I had the Mexican lager which was quite good Speaking of the menu the Potato Brava was great, nice crisp potatoes with a fantastic tomato sauce on top. I wouldve preferred more spice to it but I would 100% order again. The buttermilk fried chicken had a really good crunch to it and was cooked perfectly. The mash potatoes and green beans that came with it were seasoned excellently and on Mondays it's discounted so I'll have to go back sometime. I had the maple creme brulee which in all honesty I wish I ate slower because of how good it was. Overall this is a gem of a spot in an area over taken by fast food and chain corporations, a great place for a date or chilling with some friends and I will 100% be coming back.

We came here to celebrate my son’s birthday on a Wednesday night, and it turned out to be the perfect spot — not crowded, super cozy, and great vibes all around. Everyone at the table ordered something different, and we all agreed: the food was really good! The sauces they use are especially tasty — clearly made with some love. Our server was awesome too — friendly, fast, and made sure we had everything we needed. Parking was easy enough; there’s street parking nearby, and we ended up behind the restaurant (luckily didn’t get towed 😅). Overall, it was a great experience — good food, chill atmosphere, and a nice spot close to downtown.

Great experience! We went there for the restaurant week and liked everything on the menu. The artichoke was our favorite, hope they gonna put it on permanent menu! We order extra sweet potato fries, they mentioned that it fried twice, but when we ate it's not crispy, but still tastes good. For the main course, pork loin was still too chewy for me. But overall, I love it. Will go back again. :)
