Gio en la Cocina 2 months agoI recently moved to the area and was incredibly excited to try Soy Cowboy First impressions were great: the restaurant is beautiful, the decor is stunning, and the overall "vibe" is very cool. The prices seemed fair at first glance, and our server was actually quite pleasant throughout the night. However, the experience took a sharp turn for the worse with the food quality and management. We ordered the ribs, which were advertised as "fall-off-the-bone." Unfortunately, they were anything but. They were tough and lacked the quality you'd expect. There were four ribs on the plate; we tried two, realized the quality wasn't there, and immediately notified our waiter. We expected the kitchen or management to rectify the situation (either by replacing them or removing them from the bill). When the check arrived, we were shocked to see we were charged for the full plate. When we questioned it, the waiter informed us that the manager refused to take them off because we had "eaten them."Are you kidding? We tasted them to check the quality! It is ridiculous to be forced to pay for a dish that failed to meet its own menu description. It’s a shame because I wanted this to be my new go-to spot, but because of this petty management decision, I won’t be returning. I do not recommend this place if you value customer
Jacob Flores 4 weeks agoI chose Soy Cowboy for my birthday this year and the experience was simply over the top! The food was all incredibly delicious, the service was very attentive and equally patient, and the overall atmosphere felt completely centered on having a good time! I loved every bit of it from the Snow Crab Tacos, to the Surf & Turf Roll, to the surprisingly delightful Orange Chicken, to the 14oz Australian A5 Wagyu NY Strip! They even brought out a unique and complementary dessert with a candle to help celebrate the occasion! I remain a huge fan of Berg Hospitality Group and the undeniable quality they bring to the table with each of their locations! I'll for sure be a regular at Soy Cowboy!
Tamika Johnson 4 months agoWe had a wonderful dinner at Soy Cowboy over the weekend. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed—the hostess thoughtfully asked about food allergies, which immediately set a great tone for the evening. Our server, Bronwyn, was absolutely fantastic. She was warm, attentive, and offered excellent recommendations. Even while managing several tables, she never made us feel rushed and took the time to explain our options, making us feel like her top priority. When our food arrived, the presentation was beautiful and the flavors did not disappoint. We enjoyed the rock shrimp tempura, lobster wontons, orange chicken, and soy cowboy fried rice with chicken. For cocktails, we tried the Blackberry Bramble and the Lychee Martini—both were refreshing and perfectly balanced. Although the dessert menu looked amazing, we were far too full to indulge. Overall, it was a delightful experience, and we will absolutely be back again!
David Haley 8 months agoI was taken here by a client and had a party of 10. This was by far one of my favorite restaurants in the DFW area! The food was impeccable and the service was amazing! We had three or four servers for our party and allowed us to order as we went along in our journey. They created two omakases for us, one for sushi / sashimi / nigiri and one for our desserts at the end of the meal. They were so much fun and gave us a taste of almost everything on the menu. Cocktails and sake flights were all very good and we tried a lot of the menu. We tried all of the following and I will note the favorites of the group: Cucumber Salad (3/5) Hamachi Chili (5/5) Vegetable Tempura (4/5) Wagyu Beef Skewers (4/5) Rock Shrimp Tempura (5/5) Lobster Wontons (6/5) Whole Lobster Roasted (4/5) Australian Wagyu NT Strip (4/5) A5 Kobe Beef (7/5) Everyone loved it! Australian Wagyu Tamahawk (5/5) More beefy flavor but not as tender as the others. Orange Chicken (4/5) Soy Cowboy Omakase Platter (6/5) A taste of everything! Truffle Kanpachi Roll (5/5) Best Roll Dessert Omakase (5/5) The Banana bead pudding was amazing!
David G 3 months agoNot bad for a hotel restaurant. Extremely well trained and attentive staff. Varied pan Asian menu. Well cooked and well presented food using freshly sourced ingredients. Very nice decor in lovely open space. I like to come here when I have business lunches in Arlington and it's an off day for football or baseball. Plenty of parking when there is no event going on.
