We had a wonderful experience for our anniversary dinner. The food was incredible!! We loved the ambiance and our sever was extremely professional. Even though we booked our reservation a few weeks in advance, we will definitely be back in the future. Highly recommend the bread appetizer and the uni spaghetti has such a unique taste.

This is a must try when visiting San Diego. Located just across from Little Italy, Born and Raised is the perfect spot for a date night or celebratory gathering. The outside is modern and deco while inside is a trendy take on a speakeasy. With a fully stocked bar and live view kitchen, you will have a great view no matter where you are seated. The enjoyment goes beyond appearances. Service is top notch. If you have the pleasure of dining with Scott, you will be well versed on pairings and available specials. When the food arrives, you will be pleased with both presentation and taste. As delicious as your meal will be, try to save room for dessert as it’s a must!

Had a really Great experience with the service and the food. Initially, my wife’s Filet mignon came out very rare and they went back and redid the steak again and it was still Medium rare. They took great care of us. The dessert was fantastic. My steak was fantastic. Our server Anderson and the manager Marla, they were both amazing. Highly recommend this place. Had a great birthday dinner.

Born and Raised is one of our favorite dining experiences we’ve had thus far. First of all, the atmosphere is immaculate. The vibe is swanky, moody lighting, jazzy music, dark wood, upscale interiors - it’s one of those places where you have too much fun and too many cocktails with your steak. Second, the service is attentive and quick. They did not rush us ever. They must train their servers to be quite old fashioned as they always asked my husband if he approved of my order before accepting it, which is not something you see often. Third, the food and drinks are fabulous. We loved the steak and sides. They brought us out special anniversary shots with our NAMES printed on them!!! 10/10 will visit again!

Went here for my partners birthday and it EXCEEDED all expectations. Every detail was perfect from the bread and butter to the tiramisu cheesecake. Food and service were phenomenal. It is very expensive but it’s a case of you get what you pay for. Downstairs is gorgeously decorated black and gold, and very dim mood lighting. Upstairs (where we sat) is very light, floral, and open air. Nice that depending on what kind of vibe you are looking for, you can find it here. Definitely book a reservation ahead of time as this place is very popular.
