The Brick is definitely a solid spot when it comes to good food and awesome service. The staff is friendly and welcoming, which always makes the experience even better. The only downside is that when it gets busy, service can slow down a bit—but the positive attitude from the team still shines through. Overall, a great place to check out, and I’ll definitely be visiting again next time I’m in Jacksonville.

I had such a good time at The Brick. The place has a great open plan. It has a layout that is so welcoming to sunshine, conversation, and breeze. This could with the love music and great food was stupendous. I want feeling good emotionally, so, food was ordered for me. I enjoyed these egg roll type appetizers that needed some self control to prevent them from spoiling my appetite. They have a great crunch and flavorful inside. So sorry I don't know what they were. I do know if flexed that symphony up with a kale and salmon plate. I love they way they cut their kale. It's so easy to eat and the salmon mixed in made each bite pleasant. My head was heavy with personal stuff - but a great meal helped me to feel better. I was afforded a bit of the shrimp and grits. Oohhh. I love their style of shrimp and grits. The shrimp had a plump morsel feel to them and the grits cradled them in each spoonful. My the tone i was nearing the end of supper, I was in the mood for something sweet to top off the day. Their Kellys carrot cake was super rich and rewarding. I came in down and about and the m The Brick was the perfect pick me up. Thank you to who ever is in the back making our food. We visited for the second time. The first time we visited, no one approached us to accommodate us while we were sitting outside, until my husband went inside to ask for a menu and we ended up getting drinks. On the second visit, it was Christmas, and we had lunch. The service was too slow. And the pork chop was too salty. The beer was served after 10 minutes.

Went in on Saturday for a Girls Day Outing😃 Craig was on point. He gave us suggestions and checked on us to make sure we were ok. The food was hot and tasty. We will be back.

I’ve eaten at this restaurant countless times with my family and even bring clients here for business lunches, so I was genuinely excited to return this past Sunday. Their French toast is my absolute favorite, and since it’s only available on the weekend brunch menu, I hadn’t been able to come due to traveling. I ordered my usual — the grilled shrimp and grits — with a side of their amazing French toast. But while eating, I suddenly felt something on my tongue. When I pulled it out of my mouth, it was a long strand of blonde hair. I informed the server, but she didn’t apologize and only offered to remake the dish or remove it from my ticket. My stomach turned at the thought that I could have swallowed someone’s hair. I asked to speak with a manager. He said he’d take care of the entire ticket, then proceeded to go down a list of cooks — all of whom apparently didn’t have blonde hair — while I sat there wearing my jet-black wig. At that point, I couldn’t eat another bite. We left shortly afterward feeling disappointed and honestly a little nauseated. As someone who used to frequent this place regularly, this experience was extremely disappointing.
