We went here for my husband's birthday. Overall, it was very nice. I was little disappointed in some of the other patrons dress. One man was even wearing sweatpants that looked like he may have slept in. I don't expect everyone to dress up as much as we did but considering the price of the food, the decor and the service, I was a little thrown off to see people who were dressed like they were at Walmart or McDonald's. Now, the important part. The food ranged from pretty good to best pork chop we ever had. I had the beef tenderloin and it was mid-range to other places I've had it before. The bone marrow was really tasty, I was worried because I never tried it before. The bread served with it was really good. Rock Lobster & Shrimp appetizer was really good. The sides were ok. The chocolate cake was delicious. I will go back and try the happy hour menu downstairs at the bar. Not quite a 5 but better than a 4.

Okay, it wasnt bad, let me start with that. It was pretty delicious. But was it 100/plate delicious? No way. We asked for a medium steak. My husband generally prefers medium well but knows thats sacrilege in a place like this and said medium. Came out medium rare at best. Its a 100 dollar steak! Cook it a few more minutes! The sides and drinks were average. We've been to several steak places just in Jacksonville that have far exceeded this place and the cost wasnt nearly so much. They also sat us right next to other couples when half the restaurant was empty....a little privacy would have been nice. And my husband sat in the outside chair and spent most of the meal being blinded by the fading sun. Very disappointed overall.

Beautiful restaurant Service is "good" Food unfortunately was cold 🥶 especially the $100 steak 😩 The rooftop bar has Beautiful views of Downtown Jacksonville. Its a romantic place and is very pretty re furnished old building. The food, while cooked perfectly was just barely warm..tepid. The manager made it ✅️ but I had wished for a better experience. Would possibly try again 🤔

I can confidently say Cowford Chophouse is a true gem in Jacksonville! The food was outstanding—my steak was perfectly cooked, juicy, and full of flavor. But the real surprise was their cornbread dish—honestly the best I’ve ever had in the world. We decided to head up to the rooftop, and it was the perfect choice. The view of downtown Jacksonville is stunning, especially while enjoying their delicious drinks. Inside is just as beautiful, with an upscale yet welcoming atmosphere. Overall, this is a 10/10 dining experience that I’d recommend to anyone looking for great food, drinks, and vibes.

Cowford Chophouse was a great experience from start to finish. I ordered the lamb chops with asparagus and they were cooked perfectly—tender, flavorful, and seasoned just right. My wife had the steak with a baked potato, and it was just as impressive. The steak was juicy and cooked exactly how she wanted it. The atmosphere was classy but still comfortable, and the service was on point. Definitely a spot we’d come back to again.
