Robert Roberts a month agoYou would never know there place was there if you weren’t looking for it. Such a hidden gem that you MUST try. We made reservations for the Moroccan tent and I must say, it was nice to be secluded, in our own private air conditioned tent. The food was absolutely amazing. We started with the Big Cheese Board and also spinach, Deviled Egg Flight, and artichoke dip for our appetizers. My wife ordered the Seafood Board for her meal and I ordered the Chimichurri Steak with Smoked Gouda Grits & Cajun Gravy. We split an order of Macaroni and Cheese. Our friends ordered the vegetarian Lasagna, Crab Cake Flight, and also split a Macaroni and cheese. We had so much food, and it was ALL AMAZING! Our waitress was attentive, friendly, and helpful. The establishment was clean. The menu had a large selection of drinks. Inside the main restaurant was a little more lively and loud if that’s the scene you like. There is also a patio. I highly recommend The District…we will definitely be going back.
Plinio Pastor Palmieri P.A 3 months agoWe had such a great experience at The District in Historic Springfield. We were a group of 6, and even without reservations they were still able to accommodate us, which we really appreciated because at first we thought we might not be able to get in. The food was amazing. We ordered the Vegan Sausage Etouffee, chimichurri steak, and chicken & waffles, and everything was delicious. We also ordered the Bread Pudding French Toast to go, and it was absolutely to die for. From what we were told, they use fresh ingredients and scratch-made recipes, so service can take a little longer, but it is definitely worth the wait. What I also liked is that the menu has a lot of variety. You can tell they are not stuck in just one lane. There are brunch favorites, vegan options, seafood dishes, steak, shareable boards, creative cocktails, and mocktails, so there is something for different tastes. I noticed options like short rib hash, croque madame, oxtails & grits, seafood & grits, and shareable boards, which makes the menu feel fun and different. They also offer bottomless mimosas and even a mimosa tower, which is a great brunch touch. The place itself has so much personality. The logo and branding have an Art Deco-inspired feel, and that style carries into the restaurant. Inside, the bar is beautiful with dark moody tones, elegant lighting, blue accents, and a very stylish setup that feels chic and memorable. Even the smaller design details, like the statement lighting, dramatic wall colors, and unique seating, make the space feel curated instead of ordinary. The patio experience was phenomenal. The canopy-covered area with AC made it comfortable, and the patio had such a fun energy with string lights, colorful murals, plants, and live music. The music was so good that we were dancing in our seats and even dancing on our way out. What was really funny is that when we first got to our table, the patio looked almost empty, and then suddenly the whole place was packed. You can tell this spot is popular for a reason. The staff was very attentive, helpful, and accommodating the entire time. Overall, The District gave us amazing food, a beautiful atmosphere, great service, and a lively experience from start to finish. Definitely a place I would come back to.
Ashton White a month agoThe District SPR – Jacksonville Review This place is authentic — the whole experience just felt proper from start to finish. Portion sizes were unreal, the service was solid, and they have nightly specials that made the menu even better. Great setup too with both indoor seating and a covered outdoor patio. Definitely a spot worth checking out in Jacksonville.
Tymeria Gravett 4 months agoI absolutely loved this place! Everything was amazing ..and I mean AMAZING. We ended up getting there close to closing because we thought they stayed open a little later, but the host still made us feel right at home. I forgot my server’s name, but she was incredible. Her recommendations were spot on, and she had extensive knowledge of the menu and the best pairings. She truly elevated the entire experience. Now let’s talk about the food… the crab cakes? JESUSSSSS. So good. The deviled eggs were delicious, the steak was cooked to perfection, and the crème brûlée was hands down the best I’ve had in my life. Compliments to the chef (they could probably win a season of Hell’s Kitchen.)
MJ 8 months agoCame here for brunch on my bday for the first time. The steak was cooked to perfection, the chicken and waffles was amazing, and the pear seasonal cocktail was delicious! My husband also tried the crab cakes and enjoyed them. We sat outside and the weather was prefect. An added bonus was the live music. When I go back I'd love to bring my crew and reserve one of the tents!
