This place has everything! Amazing food, large portions, cool atmosphere, unbeatable prices, fun location right next to the university, rugs on the ceiling, and very friendly staff. If you go, you need to check out the entire restaurant and also get a sweet roll. It will be big, and it will be worth trying to eat it after your massive meal.

Went in on a Tuesday afternoon, I assume after the lunch rush as it wasn’t too busy at all. Had the chicken enchiladas which were great. It’s counter service, then they call your number for you to come back and pick up for your food. I imagine this is the most efficient given the size of the dining room instead of doing table service. The food was good although I’m not happy about the trend of being charged for chips and salsa. There are a few other items on the menu I’d be inclined to return for. Parking is very difficult. There’s a small lot behind, and the street parking is metered. You can pay with an app but there’s no indication you’ve paid so we actually paid twice (once in the app and once in the meter) so be careful about that.

this little hole in the wall is a definite hidden gem. when i was researching where to go for huevos rancheros at 4 am.. this place was one of only 2 options open at that time. so we went. it is extremely easy to get to by bus taking the 777 bus which runs a reallong way from somewhere past old town all the way up to skyline. you want to watch for unm main plaza and this is directly across from it. from the outside it doesn't look like much and theres very little parking but once you get inside this has three separate dining rooms and every one of them is full of hard to find rare art pieces particularly of john wayne "the duke". laden with a suitcase and a very heavy backpack and wrangling hangry kids . we ordered huevos rancheros a stack of pancakes and their legendary cinnamon roll and settled into a window seat in the second dining room and waited for our number. the food is a julia childs cries happy tears over dessert level food. we are still getting out hot tastebuds developed in our house so the huevos did not go over too well but was still really good and the pancakes with the buttery syrup was soo good and if you skip that cinnamon roll you've really missed some piece of once in a lifetime treasure . theres a reason why its legendary and why you can actually order i think its like six frozen and bring it home. its right from the college so i would suspect this place is jammin and there is a take out window. the staff was also out of this world particularly a gentleman who was ever so kind.

We visited this place while visiting family in Querque and whats not to like? Food is good, flour tortillas are excellent, even took a dozen home for later. Customer service was prime! Loved the place and will be coming at least 3 times a year ❤️

Frontier Restaurant was a recommendation from a friend who lives nearby. The food was good. Diner food filled the menu. Make sure to get the FRONTIER SWEET ROLL 😋 The staff was polite and friendly. Quick service. The atmosphere was a little uneasy for my liking. Upon exiting our vehicle we were approached by 2 homeless men asking for money. The restaurant seemed a little dingy. Our table was dirty and uneven.
