I spent the weekend in Uptown for my birthday and strategically reviewed multiple restaurant menus before settling on Rooster's. The food, atmosphere, and service were superb. Carlee, was wonderful and attentive without being over the top. She knew the menu from top to bottom and we were so grateful for her. After receiving the check, she also explained their involvement in "Noble Food & Pursuits" that fights hunger and food insecurity. They're the complete package and made my birthday dinner so memorable.

Went here for dinner with reservation but didn't got seated right away. They were apologizing and was able to get us to the table but kinda tight and brought us appetizer on the house. Finally they were able to move us to the patio area per our reservation. Our sever was attentive and friendly. The food were awesome per usual. We had the half dark chicken with bbq sauce (truly recommend it), roasted Brussels, potatoes au gratin, steak (truly recommend this), mac and cheese (it was okay), and the scallops (they were okay). We enjoyed our dinner, the patio table where we seated, and the service). If you are in downtown charlotte this is a must visit restaurant.

Overall, this place gets a 5 if not for a miss on a main dish. We ordered a few different things, the arugula salad, the purple potatoes, the gnocchi and a wood fired, Carolina chicken breast. All were pretty great. The gnocchi seemed bland and the chicken added had more of a leftover taste to it. Get the golden beets. Tarron was excellent and knew the menu well. The atmosphere is of high culinary class and detail. I would recommend.

Absolutely wonderful place for dinner and cocktails. The ambience was wonderful with a 1st floor bar area and 2nd floor dining area. From the hosts to waiters to managers, they were all welcoming. Food was delicious and filling. The cocktails were delicious and unique with funny names. Its fun for occasions, business dinners, etc. An overall great experience.

I enjoyed the separation between the restaurand and bar areas, feels more comfortable when you are dining in little ones. I think it was the manager, she directed me to the dining area and checked on me, even during her lunch time. The presentation of the food was simple but beautiful. My little one enjoyed the mac n' cheese - very cheesy and creamy. I ordered on of their fresh salads, the one with strawberry and local greens. Recommend trying the Welcome to Peardise mocktail, great option for a NA beverage.
