Stacey Wilson 4 months agoWe were here for a conference and this restaurant was highly recommended. The chic atmosphere but casual attire was definitely a plus. Our server was Marlee and she was fabulous with us as we had a number of question for being newbies. I ordered the scallops and by far the best I’ve ever had. My husband had the strip and it was delicious and seasoned to perfection. Such a laid back experience and we enjoyed every moment. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone. You will not be disappointed.
JustCayti 4 months agoLove The pearl, they had 4 different oyster options for mix and match and are a great price during happy hr. The bartender was super cool and made me a drink of his choice not on the menus to pair with it because I didn’t see any cocktails that pair with oysters. The atmosphere is a little bit louder than you would expect from a nicer restaurant but overall the vibes were still great!
Natalie 4 months agoWe visited on a Friday night, and the atmosphere was energetic and loud, fitting for a pub-style setting. It’s a casual, busy spot, so I’d definitely suggest a reservation. Since we stayed at The Joseph, parking wasn’t an issue, but the surrounding street parking looked tight; you'll likely need to rely on a nearby garage or valet. The menu leans more toward seafood than your average pub. The redfish was outstanding and easily the highlight of the meal. The burger was also well-portioned and cooked exactly as requested. We started with the fried pickles, which had good flavor and a nice dipping sauce, but the preparation was inconsistent. Several pieces were cut vertically along the skin, resulting in a rubbery texture that was difficult to eat. Our server, Sean, provided great service and was very friendly. One minor hurdle was that neither he nor the menu could specify the preparation methods for some dishes—whether the fish was grilled, fried, or broiled, for example. Overall, it's a good choice for a relaxed, lively dinner.
Michelle Hu 2 months agoI came here with a supplier for work and the service was wonderful. They shared the popular items and described some of the details on the popular starters, and answered all of our entree questions. The server was very helpful with allergies and even made sure dishes were made without cross contamination. We had 8 people and whole table only ordered the hanger steak, short rib, or the scallops. Everyone loved the food. Everything was delicious. We got two slices of pie, peach and Mississippi mud flavors and everyone like a little bit. It was just enough to satisfy the sweet tooth. I would definitely come back to try something different. I think the only thing I wish they had was dairy free dessert options.
patricia 7 months agoIf I lived in Columbus I would be a regular at The Pearl. Happy Hour specials are solid. The baked oysters delicious and the entree offerings had generous portions and were excellent. I had the salmon and my husband had the scallops. We found the sides served with them more interesting and better than the typical seafood sides found other places. This place works as well for a special night out with drinks and dessert as it does for a meet up with friends for drinks and half priced appetizers for happy hour.
