We had an amazing experience at Dean’s Steak & Seafood, and I truly appreciate how professionally everything was handled. We originally booked the Globe Igloo experience, but when we arrived they had some delay and it wasn’t warm as expected. The manager immediately stepped in, handled the situation with such kindness and professionalism, and moved us inside to make sure we were comfortable. On top of that, they generously took the bill on the house, which honestly meant a lot and showed how much they care about their guests. The staff overall was wonderful, and our waitress was absolutely amazing—attentive, friendly, and made us feel genuinely welcomed. The food was incredibly good, from start to finish, and everything exceeded expectations. What could have been a disappointing situation turned into a truly memorable evening because of the outstanding management, service, and hospitality. This is how great restaurants build loyal customers. Highly recommend, and we will definitely be back.

When I first saw the breakfast menu, I was a little disappointed, but my experience completely changed once I stepped inside. The restaurant has a wonderfully cozy and comfortable atmosphere that immediately makes you feel at ease. The food was truly excellent across the board. I was particularly surprised by the breakfast steak—I didn't expect it to be so delicious! We also tried the eggs benedict and the yogurt; the quality of every dish was top-notch. Even the coffee stood out with great taste and a rich flavor profile. What made our visit even better was the service. Owen took great care of us; he was incredibly attentive, professional, and friendly, making us feel very welcome throughout the meal. I’m already looking forward to returning to San Antonio so I can try their dinner menu. Highly recommended!

Amazing food and exceptional service! A special thank you to Owen for making our experience so memorable. We stayed at the hotel months ago, and when we got back this month, he not only remembered us but also remembered my son’s favorite food. That level of care and attention truly meant a lot to our family. Owen was thoughtful, attentive, and genuinely kind throughout our visit. It’s rare to find someone who remembers guests and makes them feel so welcome long after their last visit. Combined with the delicious food and wonderful atmosphere, this was an outstanding dining experience. We can’t wait to come back! Thank you, Owen, for going above and beyond.

We had an amazing evening at Dean’s. It was our first time there and our server, Matt, made us feel very special. He explained the menu’s very well, and gave us amazing recommendations. We were celebrating our engagement, and the restaurant was kind enough to give us a free dessert! The tomahawk steak and baked Alaska were absolutely delicious! We will definitely be visiting again. This place is amazing, especially if you’re celebrating something special!

Decided to try a new spot and enjoyed a beautiful anniversary meal at Dean’s! The interior is gorgeous and swanky, with the exposed mahogany beams and original walls of the 1800s German schoolhouse taking our breath away. Our reservation was near 7pm, and though there were other diners and usual restaurant din, the space was the right level of quiet for dinner conversations. We were immediately seated in a large but intimate half-circle booth and offered menus bound in soft leather. We ordered a mocktail similar to a whiskey sour (SO good I ordered 2!), oysters, a crab cake (I grew up on the southern east coast and this was the best damn crab cake I’ve ever had!!), and bone marrow to start, and followed that up with a to-die-for 8oz filet with baked mac and cheese (heavenly). My partner got his filet Dean’s style - with lobster and a bearnaise iirc - with whipped Yukon potatoes, and was more than happy. Both of our steaks were cooked to perfection and so, so tender. Mine was seasoned so well I barely used the delicious wild mushroom sauce I ordered! We then opted to take a slice of chocolate cake home (happy we did, it was the perfect decadence to end the night!). Our server, Adan, was attentive, informative, and kind all night, and we could tell he was proud of this restaurant. Dean’s provides the kind of atmosphere, service, and food that leaves you dreaming of your next date night!!
