Jazzlynn Garrett a month agoThe food was generally good. The espresso martini was on the bitter side, not overly sweet. The BBQ Brussels were delicious, with the crunchy onions on top being the perfect addition. The poblano risotto was also good, with the potato and spinach fritter on top being a nice touch. However, I wish the risotto had a bit more flavor. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. My waitress, Larissa, was particularly knowledgeable about the menu. I would recommend this place.
Elena Pyne a month agoWe had a great experience at Four Brothers on our trip to San Antonio. Our server Brielle was extremely knowledgeable and made really good recommendations and the manager Josh came by and spoke to us and wished us a happy anniversary as well and was very attentive. The food was great we got the Texas shaped jalapeño cornbread, Filet, Samoa cake which was inspired by the Girl Scout cookie and was delicious, and the aged burger and the servers recommendation of drinks. Thank you for the experience!
Sedelia Cordero 7 months agoMy family and I ate here for dinner on a Friday night. We were happy to be able to get in around 8 o’clock with a reservation made approximately an hour and a half before. We ordered the Brussels sprouts, Jalapeño, cornbread and chili as an appetizer. The brussels sprouts were absolutely delicious! They had the right amount of sweetness, along with a savory flavor. The jalapeño cornbread was served in a massive Texas cast-iron dish. They also gave us honey, butter, and pimento cheese to go with the cornbread. We really liked the chili, it was common Texas chili… No beans :) For dinner my son had the kids smash burger with mixed fruit, I had the Caesar salad with steak and my husband had the Scallops with corn risotto. My son devoured the smash burger and the fruit was very fresh! My husband said that the scallops were cooked to perfection and he loved the risotto and said that the flavor was on point. My salad was really good! Also, my steak was a perfect medium cook! For dessert my son’s kids meal came with a free dessert so he got a scoop of ice cream. I ordered the key lime crème brûlée. I am so upset that I did not take a picture of the crème brûlée, because it was so beautiful, but the picture does no justice to the taste! That is by far the best crème brûlée I have ever had! Because it was my husband‘s birthday, he got a free dessert and they gave him two cupcakes with a chocolate “ Happy birthday” piece in the middle. The atmosphere in this restaurant was great for a perfect quiet night out. We had had a long day and we’re happy that this restaurant was not super loud. They even had a live performer there, but it did not overtake the sound in the restaurant. Our waiter was outstanding! I feel bad that I cannot remember his name right now, but not only the server, but the older gentleman who was bringing out our food was also very courteous! We also got some good drinks to go with our meal, the bartender there was great!
Aaliyah Taboada 2 weeks agoFour brothers was a very fine dining place and it is within a hotel and right in front of the river walk so not too far from some attraction and a place to stay. The food was very good, pricey, but good and they had a wonderful staff serving us she was very nice!
Moe a year agoWe had a bit of a rocky start here—on our first visit, we asked for a riverfront table, but were told by host or hostess person that they were all reserved, even though one was visibly empty with no signage. The reservation system doesn’t let you specify indoor or outdoor seating, so that part felt a bit off. We ended up leaving that day. We decided to give it another shot the next morning for breakfast, and I’m glad we did. The food was fresh and flavorful—especially the avocado-topped omelet with roasted veggies and the crisp salad with grilled corn and radish. We also enjoyed a refreshing bowl of fruit, and the view by the river added to the relaxing vibe. Service was fine, but a little more transparency or flexibility around seating would go a long way in improving the guest experience.
