Absolutely delicious food and drinks! I had the fish and chips, and husband had a philly cheesesteak. Our server was super nice and we had a great evening. Definitely recommend!

Hands down an amazing spot in downtown Raleigh! The historic vibe and friendly staff make every visit a pleasure, and the food is legitimately worth it — my hamburger was delicious and the tacos were superb. It’s one of the few places in the area that still offers a really satisfying meal, not just standard bar grub. Service was attentive and welcoming, and they were open and thriving even in the winter weather, which I truly appreciate. Kudos to the staff for braving the snow. Whether you’re stopping in for great food, drinks, or just a fun atmosphere, this place delivers. Highly recommend!

My daughter and I went there on a Wednesday afternoon for lunch. The food has not good. I ordered the fish and chips, its so fishy I could not even eat it, I took one bite and said um no. The mozzarella sticks were decent. The soda tasted funny like it was getting too much syrup. I told the bartender/waiter and he said "I really don't care". 😲 A random homeless lady came in with a bra on and it seemed like it was normal because I heard the employees and regulars talking about how bad she smells.

It’s been a decade or so since i was last here, but i figured I would stop in and have a drink while I was in town. Looking over the menu I noticed they had a Milk Stout for their featured draft, so I ordered that and sat at the bar. The bar tender told me he had tried it earlier that day, and it would have been a slow drinker for him, as it was for me, but it gave us something to talk about. There was a steady flow of people coming in during the half hour I was there, but the bar area never got very busy. Certainly worth a stop if this is your type of place.

I was downtown with friends and we decided to do in here. Cool ambiance, not too crowded 6:00 in the evening. Nice warm night, they had the doors open too sidewalk seating. I had the fish and chips, and asked for extra crispy fries. The fish was decent though not as crispy as I would have liked and the fries definitely were not crispy. But still tasted good. They don't have cocktail sauce so I had to make do with ketchup. Meh, no real big deal but... Be aware.
