Heidi Bayer 2 months agoPerfect spot to sit outside and enjoy lunch on a warm day. The patio was covered and had fans running so we were comfortable even in the 87 degree heat. We ordered a few of the appetizers to share. The tuna was delicious, extremely fresh and ample for two. The Brussels were the perfect blend of salty and sweet with a little crunch and the spring rolls were flavorful and clearly hand rolled. Hannah was a wonderful server, sweet, happy, knowledgeable and on point. I would absolutely return and look forward to trying many more things on the menu!
Haw Kor a month agoVillage Tavern is a chic restaurant in the North Hills area. The food presentation was very pretty but the taste could have been better. We ordered spring rolls and fried oysters to start. Spring rolls were good and the oysters were ok but one had a piece of shell. For entrees, we got a hamburger, grilled meatloaf and chicken salad. My meatloaf was very salty. I thought it was the gravy at first but I tasted crunchy crystals in the meatloaf like there was undissolved salt. Didn't finish it. One of my dinner companions said the chicken was a little dry. We got some desserts to share. Butter cake with ice cream and the very best carrot cake. I thought the carrot cake was a little loose in texture and the cake itself was very sweet. The frosting was a butter cream. Unfortunately, I was a bit disappointed that this was the "Very Best" carrot cake. The butter cake was good but the winner was the vanilla ice cream.
Leonard Country Harrison 4 months agoEvery aspect of this meal Phenominal! My wife and I came in for her birthday. Ronnie made sure the food was amplified by amazingly good service. My burger may be one of the best burgers ive ever had in my life. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her birthday desert and her fish. Keep doing what youre doing. My only criticism is the fact that the waitstaff doesnt assist with clearing tables or prebussing of other waiters tables. Being a team is a great way to make more in tips. Otherwise the experience was amazing
DL 3562 4 months agoCame here for our anniversary dinner. It was busy on a Sunday but the service was great. We started with a spinach dip which we both liked. I ordered the braised short rib and my wife had the Mediterranean bowl. Both were excellent. We split the warm butter cake that everyone raved about in the reviews. It was definitely worth it. It will be enough for 2 of you. Great experience , vibe, and prices were reasonable. Looking forward to another date night sometime in the future.
Terry Jones a month agoThis restaurant is in a fantastic location in North Hills and delivers a welcoming experience from the moment you walk in. As someone visiting from out of state, I really appreciated the friendly atmosphere and attentive staff. I chose to sit at the bar for both drinks and my meal, and each bartender was helpful and consistently checked in to make sure everything was going well. The 8oz filet was solid—tender and juicy with a light smokiness and just the right amount of char. The sides stood out as well, with delicious garlic mashed potatoes and well-prepared green beans. They also offer a nice drink selection to complement the meal. With both indoor and outdoor seating available, it’s an easy spot to enjoy a relaxed meal in a great part of town.
